MY PLAN FOR GOOD DEED
They say one good deed deserves another. I'm not so great at giving gifts. As a matter of fact, I suck at giving gifts. A friend of mine gifted me a perfume at the beginning of the month and according to her, she wants to give me a Christmas gift. This action of hers has disturbed me a lot, putting me in a very uncomfortable situation. She thinks gifts are my love language, but doesn't understand that it's the act and effort of giving which is an act of service that is my love language. I'm not falling in love here if you must know 😂, but then her actions have persuaded me to want to reciprocate her kindness.

I've been thinking for the last two weeks about what to get for her, it was hard to place my mind on something because I always think, would she like it, does she need it, and stuff like that I saw a really nice necklace set I wanted to order for her from a friend in another state but then I changed my mind after my friend said she wouldn't be able to waybill it until January 3. I thought about getting her a hoodie because I asked her once if she liked them and she said yes… I even asked a few close friends to give me ideas on what I should get her, but they only kept suggesting things I had already thought about.
Because of who I am (my love language) I love it when I can reach a person's soul with whatever I give them, I don't just want to give a gift, I want to give her something that she would look at and always remember me by. I want to give something that represents my very soul because I'm certain that's the only way I too could reach her soul with whatever I give her. I understand that it doesn't have to be expensive, but it shouldn't be cheap as well. Cheap in not just cost, but in effort as well. I consider a convenient $100k gift cheap, and a $10 gift with effort expensive. This might not sit well with everyone, it's just how I've come to see life. Life is beautiful, and the efforts we put into making people smile make life worth living.

One time I gave shelter to a family who was homeless, and the mother of the family told me; “people might forget the things you do, but they will never forget how you made them feel at a certain point In life”. So I want to make her happy before the end of the year and to do that, I now know what I need to do. Tomorrow I will be doing a design and a video of everything she has done for me in the last 1 year, and then I would appreciate her for making my 2023 a memorable one being a part of it. It might not cost any monetary value, but I'm certain her love language is words of affirmation, and I would be speaking those words in graphics and video.

Yeah that woman is right about what she said to you, some people will never forget the good deed and how helpful you are to them, while some would see it as what you should do as if they have every right to it. And that is why some people didn't like to help meanwhile we shouldn't let that stop us from doing good to people that deserves it.
Everything we do we will surely reap it that is what my mother always tells me and my siblings.

I know for certain that an act of kindness matters a lot. I believe making the video would leave a lasting impression on her heart. She'd know that you remember and do not take her for granted. Such gifts are priceless.

I love your perspective on gifting and I think it is okay to get the lady a gift as well. You don't like someone falling in love really but when these gifts connect with our hearts, it sparks feelings.
People might forget objects or things but it's hard to let go human people make us feel.

I envy your friendship. The truth is when you receive a gift from someone, just put it at the back of your mind that you will have to reciprocate it someday, even if they don't ask for it. It interests me to know that both of you know what you liked, it's beautiful. I am already imagining how happy she would be when she sees that video.
