THE LAW OF GROWTH (START SMALL GROW BIG)
I've always been intentional about my growth process since I became an adult. I've experienced growth in so many phases in my life, from small to big, from big to small, from nothing to something, and from something to nothing lol. If you are wondering how possible it is to grow from big to small (as it's supposed to be a reduction and not growth) Well if there's one thing I've learned in life is that sometimes growth is backwards which at the end of the day pushes you forward. For example, a tree would need to first grow deep into the ground before it grows out for people to see. Another thing is this type of growth is usually lasting, it's usually not acceptable as we humans lack the patience to grow backwards before growing forward.

The law of growth for me is synonymous with the laws of habit and the result is usually a balance. We struggle every day to attain balance in life, especially when it concerns finance and our mental health. Everyone wants to reach the point of rest which you can also call balance. That point where you have created a system that puts your life in order and you worry less about a lot of things because everything is in place for you. Creating this system, however, is what is difficult to attain because it would involve stopping bad habits and learning good habits that would help in our growth process and in the end help us attain balance.
Recently I discovered I've been spending too much on relevant things, but it renders me broke to zero at the end of the day. I knew that if I must break the cycle of being broke continuously, I must learn to grow backwards by learning new saving habits that would render me broke for a while and benefit me in the long run. I want to save, I want to invest, but I'm always running into expenses and emergencies. One day I began to think to myself, I do not have an emergency fund, I do not have savings anywhere and if I should continue with these necessities, I will never be able to gather enough to invest in life.

So I decided I was going to change the cycle and change my fortune by learning to save. I crafted two saving mechanisms, one was saving 10% of everything I spend, and another was saving a particular amount of money monthly. This way, I can't just withdraw all my money at the same time except it is a very crucial situation. These saving mechanisms gave me a sense of control (balance) over my finances and also helped me focus on order aspects of growth. Now I'm beginning to read books; If you follow my post closely, I wrote about how reading books was becoming hard for me because of my busy schedule. I decided I would pick a book, and read 10 chapters daily in between my work hours.
These little habits so far have given me a sense of balance and control over my life. Although I must admit it ain't easy, because I've had to deny myself of other necessities because I want to save, and I've had to reschedule my working hours because I want to read for a minimum of 30 minutes daily. What I'm trying to do is create a system that works for me because I do not know how busy I will be tomorrow, or how broke or rich I will be. But I've got today to learn a growth system that would help me find my balance in the long run. It's not much now, but it's something, and as long as I can get control over certain aspects of my life, finding a balance will be easier in future.

This was everything that anyone could have explained on this topic. Getting a grab on certain areas of your life leaves you with the feeling that the same control and balance can be replicated in the rest areas.

Little by little... Once at a time has always been the anthem.
Emergency funds are very important to every human on earth but I get your challenges about everything becoming a necessity once you have money because I also face the same challenges but it's nice you've devised means to encompass two of them together.
Yeah, it wasn't easy though...
Growth becomes achievable when we are able to take control of our lives in certain situations. Just like you, your finance is doing well because you decided to start saving which is something great. As individuals, we must be willing to learn and grow too, else, we might stay redundant in life.

It's not easy... But in the long run, we all adapt
I’m glad you realize it yourself that you were spending too much on irrelevant things
That’s the main growth for me
Cheers from a fellow #dreemerforlife
They weren't irrelevant, because I am not even one to spend on luxury... It was just a matter of priority and scale of preference... I determined to save no matter what...
This is a deep insight. I have picked my lessons here; thank you.
