THERE ARE NO LIMITS IN LIFE (THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORD)
Ever since I was a boy I've been inspired by stories of how people went the extra mile to create or break records that will be planted in the heart of history. I've realized that there are only two most important sets of people when it comes to breaking records on earth; one is those that set the records, these are people who do the unimaginable by creating or doing something that has never been thought of in history. Some might not even live to be celebrated for the records they set, but their name lives on. The second set of important people are those who though didn't set the record, created something that they will forever be remembered. This often involves a life of sacrifice to achieve a desired goal.

The Guinness Book of Records, holds the record of extraordinary activities of ordinary people, to reference it back to history. I mean who wouldn't want to be in the history books? I would even want to be known in the history books, and if I have something I feel I can do, I will definitely do it and get myself there. But I'm sure I wouldn't be going for anything contemporary or fighting deliberately to break someone else's record just so my name would be in their place. I would prefer to hold a more important record that affects the lives of people, positively changing people's lives as well. Personally, I don't fancy the fact that people see someone break a record (they never attempted trying) and all because they feel they can do better and feel their name should sit on the Guinness World Record book, they head on to take the challenge.
My issue with them is this, after that what next, what other challenges would you be willing to take on next, or would you wait for someone else to break another record and then attempt it? If so, then such people are nothing but scavengers and fame-seeking individuals who only know how to prey on the achievements of others. The Guinness Book of Records contains a record of not just any kind of deed, but deeds born out of hard work for which a person was pushed beyond limits to attain. The interesting thing about how people want to break the Guinness Book of Records is how we most recently found people breaking records of clumsy challenges. Although I understand these challenges are hard to break, then again, how many do you see trying to break the record of the last person who created the most jobs on earth? Or the record of the person who found a way to fight cancer or even a person who wants to end cancer.

Not that they aren't people trying to do all these, but the question is how many even have such dreams and decided they would try to make efforts to do these things. It's easier to find people that want to do sleep-atons than people that truly want to save the world for passion. I think some records need no recognition. I feel every record should have a significant impact on the lives of people. A lot of people run long distances to raise funds for the helpless… These records they set and break are the records worth keeping. But with how things are going these days, if not that Guinness world record would compel most of its participants to give to charity, I'm sure most of them wouldn't even think about it. In conclusion, I think the Guinness Book of Records should thoroughly strive to interrogate people's motives before allowing them to participate in breaking a record.

I love the fact that people have taken up the challenge to set records but would love to see new record set instead. Now the cookathon and singathon are all becoming too much in our side of the world. I wish we could see something different

Exactly this is what we need to start doing
Though I would prefer to see new records created, I appreciate that people have risen to the challenge of setting records. These days, on our side of the globe, the cookathon and singathon have become excessive. I hope we could witness a different event.
It takes effort to break a record no matter the kind of record anyone is breaking. I hope to see our country produce greater records in the future

I hope so too... Thanks for stopping by
New and unattempted records can be made, the idea of killing oneself to outshine others, to do more than another person did is unnecessary, the space is roomy enough to try new things.

Definitely, but unfortunately only a few realize this
