WHAT MUSIC MAKES ME DO

avatar

I love music, I'm not much of a singer, but my love for music always makes me want to sing. My playlist is usually filled with a lot of gospel songs and chants because that's what I listen to the most, then there are my instrumentals which are very sacred to me. I listen to them when I feel the world on my shoulders and a need to clear my head. Sometimes my playlists gets me so high that I prefer to stay alone listening to them and doing my thing I'm not comfortable sharing in public 🙊. My sister knows what I'm talking about in this post and would probably be laughing reading this right now seeing how I can't help myself whenever I hear the beats from my playlist that makes my heart pound.

First I get into my imaginary world and become whoever I wish to be, letting my imaginations run wild while I feel every bit of emotion running through my veins as I tell a story with my songs. If you are lost in everything I've been trying to say, I can understand. In simple terms, what I mean is I can't sit still and listen to my favorite playlist. The only time I'm not doing my favorite thing is when I'm walking or jogging on the road. I usually start my walking at the beginning of the songs in my favorite, and by the time I get to the middle, I'm jogging at the same time trying so hard to not let my emotions out and keeping 100% composure. But as soon as I got home, I let the whole cat out of the bag.

I'm very sure my neighbors would have wondered what all that noise was about, but what can I say, it's the only way I know how to have fun, and they can keep trying to figure it out. Music just brings out the child in me, I just hope I can control it when I become a dad 😂. About a month ago I heard a verse from a song that got me so hard I couldn't stop listening to it over and over. Although the song isn't my normal gospel genre, it had me thinking so deep as the lyrics resonated with me in every aspect. The song “TO BE A MAN” BY DAX is a song I've listened to more than 100 times. Because according to him, it's hard to really explain.

Sometimes I listen to that song and I feel like crying out with no voice, or maybe it's because there's no ear to ear of my cry. But knowing that I would have to listen to everyone else cry and go as far as trying to fix the issue gets broken over and over again. I've even come up with a lot of heartbreaking stories and scenarios that would resonate with the song and usually I would end with love songs like; perfect love by Ed Sheeran, or I will always love you by Whitney Houston. Don't ask me about the story line because I won't tell, what happens in my imaginary world, stays in my imaginary world. The music however is always the ice-breaker.

THIS IS MY RESPONSE TO HIVE GHANA PROMPT FOR THE WEEK.

Now I’m on a mission to find out what that thing is. The thing that you do that makes you uncomfortable to share with us.
