The goals and the achievement

Greetings!

At the beginning of the year, I outlined exactly what I wanted to achieve by year-end, with a primary focus on increasing my Hive power. At that time, I evaluated my earnings from articles and set goals that felt both ambitious and achievable, though admittedly, they seemed daunting. I have always avoided setting goals I don’t believe I can reach, as this approach often leads to sleepless nights and a troubled mind. I prefer to pursue my goals in a calculated way, aiming for steady progress from the outset....what we call Smart Goals

Reflecting on the post I made at the start of this year regarding my goals, I now feel a bit guilty—or perhaps embarrassed—about how modest my objectives were. Then again, I set them based on my circumstances at that time. I initially set my Hive power goal to reach 2,000 HP by year-end. Looking back, it seems almost laughable, as there are people who manage to achieve this amount in just a month. I recall reading a post last week where someone mentioned aiming to gain an additional 1,000 HP by mid-November.

So, when this year began, I was sitting at 1,700 HP, and my goal was to hit 3,700 HP by the end of the year, meaning I needed to earn an additional 2,000 HP. Amazingly, I have already reached this target, and now I’m cautiously optimistic about reaching 4,000 HP before the year closes.

It feels as though the 2,000 HP came easily, which is surprising because it wasn’t something I anticipated. This increase in earnings reflects my ongoing efforts, and I’m thrilled with the outcome.
This year, I made a point to put in more work to earn more, particularly by focusing on engagement, which is one of the key strategies for success on this blockchain. Initially, my plans were effective; I actively engaged in the comments sections of articles, Leo threads, and on Discord. However, along the way, I found myself drifting from some of these platforms. Demotivation eventually took hold, especially on Discord, and I completely stopped participating there. I’ve since concentrated my efforts on engaging with posts and, to a lesser extent, on Leo threads.

Beyond engagement, I have also committed to a writing streak. So far this year, I don’t think I’ve missed a single day of writing, often posting twice daily. On busier days, though, I’ve sometimes settled for just one post due to my offline commitments. As the year winds down, it appears I’ll be posting once a day more frequently because of work obligations outside the platform.
Writing consistently has been the primary driver in achieving my 2,000 HP goal, even though my earnings aren’t particularly high. Yes, many of my articles only earn a few cents, but I don’t let that bother me. Sometimes we win, and sometimes we lose.

Thank you for reading.

Congratulations on your goal achievements. Writing down our goals makes it easier to achieve them. You challenged me too.
