Hi! A great day to all members of the MemeHive tribe! Today is the announcement of winners for the first-ever MemeHive Theme Curation Contest announced a week ago.

Just this morning, after checking the posts on our community on PeakD, I saw two good articles published by @linda2021 and @mintymile. I am referring to these two articles:

Nevertheless, they cannot be included in the contest, for today is the announcement for winners during the last week's competition. I hope that they will publish an entry for next week's curation contest.

Based on the Judging Period article I published last night, there were five entries that qualified for last week's contest. Among these five entries, only three will be announced as winners. However, since this is our first community attempt for an event like this, I decided to give 2 consolation prizes with 250 MEME tokens each.

Judging Outcome and Rewards

In judging content, even though pure objectivity isn't easy, at least that's what we can get from having a clear criteria.

Moreover, the role of the community plays a big part in engagement, and that is why, though @zuerich's content is not directly related to my preferred suggested topic (anyone is free to choose themes outside of the given categories as announced), his post received the highest upvotes with 189, 18 comments, and 2 reblogs.

The last consideration is the subjective evaluation. It is good that based on the given criteria, no two entries receive a similar final score. In case such a thing happens in the future, my role as the facilitator of this contest is to break the tie, and that's where subjectivity comes in.

Given all the foregoing considerations and based on the above criteria, the winners for last week's curation contest are:

As for the above three winners, @greywarden100 will send your rewards later.

Thank you for all your entries! I hope to see your post in the next curation contest.

More power to the MemeHive community!

Of course. Increase the rewards a little if you like. Should i transfer them Meme or send them stake Meme like I did just now?

I think it's better to send them next time as liquid so they can decide whether to stake or swap for HIVE.

How about these rewards:

  • 1st place = 4,000 MEME

  • 2nd place = 2,000 MEME

  • 3rd place = 1,000 MEME

  • 2 consolation prizes = 500 MEME each.

Total weekly rewards = 8,000 MEME.

That is perfect. Let's do 8K. Next time, I will send them liquid Meme.
