Are you a wine drinker? If so, what's your favourite wine and why? / WEEK 204
Good evening hivers, I hope you had a great Sunday... Below I share with you my participation in the fantastic challenge that our friend @galenkp proposes us during the weekends.
Are you a wine drinker? If so, what's your favourite wine and why?
For me, sitting down to enjoy a glass of wine is an act that goes hand in hand with the fact of sharing or celebrating a special moment, I do not usually drink every day, but when I do I really enjoy that moment where I can toast listening to the sound of the glasses, I believe that it is not necessary to wait for a celebration, it is enough to feel the desire to share and enjoy that moment, in my case it is always accompanied by a game of dominoes, listening to my favorite music and a good conversation.
I particularly like wines that leave a sweet touch in the mouth, I know that there are plenty of wines that are recommended when you are eating some kind of meat, I do not like dry wines that leave a dry sensation on the palate. When I am in a meeting and there is only this type of wine I usually mix it with a touch of lemon flavored soda, this way I turn it into a summer red wine and this way I get to soften a little the roughness sensation that is felt in the mouth.
If I had to describe my favorite wines, I would say that they are those that have an intense floral or fruity smell. Among the different types of wines that exist, I prefer rosé and red wines, since white wines tend to give me acidity. My favorite wine is the sparkling rosé, as I feel they have a very delicate and subtle flavor. My taste for wine was born during the years I lived in Spain, in that country it is customary to get together to drink wine, whenever I attended a meeting there were different types of red wines on the table, in summer they usually prepare the summer red to cool off from the high temperatures. Whenever I go to buy a bottle of wine I usually choose Spanish wine, I feel it is a beautiful way to remember that beautiful time of my life in Spain, plus they have a wide range where you can choose the one that catches your attention. I have some favorites, but I always buy some new presentation to live a different experience... In my case, enjoying a glass of wine goes hand in hand with celebrating life with my family and toasting to the good fortune of being on the same path, there are always reasons to celebrate!
I'm not sure if I am qualify as an expert of wines but what I do know for my experience, is that red wine and most of all, argentine and spanish wines are absolute best! Malbec! No question ask.
Do you recommend Malbec wine? I read that it is a French wine, which is related to Merlot wine, let me know if it is good to buy it. Thank you very much for your visit, best regards. @chris-chris92
