(ENG-ESP) RECIPE: Delicious banana cake with greek yogurt

  • Good evening hivefood friends, I hope you had a great Saturday! Today, I will explain to you in an "easy and simple" way how to prepare an "exquisite banana cake with Greek yogurt." The magic of this recipe is found in its wonderful soft and slightly creamy texture... it is the ideal option for a family snack!
  • Buenas noches amigos de hivefood, espero que hayan pasado un sábado genial! Hoy, les explicaré de forma "fácil y sencilla" como preparar un "exquisito bizcocho de banana con yogurt griego". La magia de ésta receta la encontramos en su maravillosa textura suave y ligeramente cremosa... es la opción ideal para merendar en familia!

  • INGREDIENTS: 3 eggs, 1 cup of wheat flour, 1 banana, 80 ml of sunflower oil, 1 Greek yogurt (150 gr), 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence, 1 teaspoon of baking powder and powdered sweetener C/N .
  • INGREDIENTES: 3 huevos, 1 taza de harina de trigo, 1 banana, 80 ml de aceite de girasol, 1 yogurt griego (150 gr), 1 cucharadita de esencia de vainilla, 1 cucharadita de polvo de hornear y edulcorante en polvo C/N.

PREPARATION/PREPARACIÓN

  • We add the eggs to a bowl, add a pinch of salt and the powdered sweetener. We beat at maximum power for 5 minutes or until we check that the mixture has doubled in size.
  • Incorporamos en un bowl los huevos, agregamos una pizca de sal y el edulcorante en polvo. Batimos a máxima potencia durante 5 minutos o hasta comprobar que la mezcla dobló su tamaño.

  • In this step, we add the yogurt along with the mashed banana... To make this dessert I love to use Greek yogurt, since its texture is creamier.
  • En éste paso, añadimos el yogurt junto con el puré de banana... Para realizar éste postre me encanta utilizar yogurt griego, ya que su textura es más cremosa.

  • We add our aromatic "vanilla essence", mix at "medium" speed until well integrated.
  • Incorporamos nuestra aromática "esencia de vainilla", mezclamos a velocidad "media" hasta integrar bien.

  • Next, we add the sunflower oil, mix at "low" speed, for 2 minutes.
  • A continuación, colocamos el aceite de girasol, mezclamos a velocidad "baja", durante 2 minutos.

  • We add the wheat flour, along with the baking powder. We sift on top of the mixture... We beat at "low" speed until we check that it is well integrated.
  • Añadimos la harina de trigo, junto con el polvo de hornear. Tamizamos encima de la mezcla... Batimos a velocidad "baja" hasta comprobar que se integró bien.

  • With the help of a silicone spatula we clean the edge of the container... We place it in a refractory container, previously buttered and floured. We bake at 180º for 50 minutes or until we check that it is ready.
  • Con ayuda de una espátula de silicona limpiamos el borde del envase... Integramos en un envase refractario, previamente enmantequillado y enharinado. Horneamos a 180º durante 50 minutos o hasta comprobar que está listo.

  • After the cooking time has passed, our succulent cake is ready! We wait 15 minutes to unmold.
  • Transcurrido el tiempo de cocción nuestro suculento pastel está listo! Esperamos 15 minutos para desmoldar.

  • I thought it was great to decorate with a touch of cinnamon powder, the result was truly spectacular!
  • Me pareció genial decorar con un toquesito de canela en polvo, el resultado fue realmente espectacular!

I love greek yogurt more than other kind of yogurt some say it's too bitter but I think it's a good yoghurt and suitable for many recipes as the one you share 😁
