I think two of the most complicated questions to answer for any anime fan are: What is your favorite anime? And which is your favorite character, precisely the second question is the theme of one of the contests of the community and the truth is that I have been reflecting a lot about it, a couple of years ago I asked myself this same question and my favorite character was Kirito mainly because SAO is my favorite anime and always be focused on helping others, as I did not want to mention Kirito again I decided to mention another character that from the first moment I saw his anime has seemed a great character and I could consider him as one of my favorite character of the anime.

Goblin Slayer is the main character of the anime with the same name (yes, so far at least in the anime his name is not said), this character visually has a very interesting design as it is a medieval style character, with a full armor and a helmet that covers his entire head and face, a style that is very reminiscent of medieval RPG video games where I think many of us got to have similar characters with that style of armor, shield and sword.
Something that is very striking about this character is his presentation in the anime, the first time he appears is to save the priestess and arrives with an imposing and terrifying aura, a glint in his eyes that show the thirst for revenge that he harbors inside and a coldness when it comes to killing the goblins where he does not hesitate for a moment, but gives no indication of enjoying eliminating them, he simply sees it as part of his duty.

One aspect of Goblin Slayer's personality that stands out a lot is his serene and introverted attitude, in the end he ends up being a really strong character who has proven to be able to defeat absurdly powerful enemies, but he never shows a vestige of arrogance or arrogance, he remains calm, he cares about finding jobs hunting goblins and does not try to stand out among others, additionally he has the typical kind personality of several anime protagonists where although he prefers to be alone, he does not hesitate to help someone when they need it, support and guide them without expecting anything in return.

One aspect that I quite like about this character is how he presents a pretty good background for the reason of his personality and way of being, by suffering a very traumatic experience and feeling on the verge of death as a child, he creates a solitary personality focused only on hunting goblins to feel that he is avoiding that other people have to suffer the same as he did as a child, although he doesn't always manage to avoid it, In a certain way it can also be thought that his solitary and cold way of being is due to his own trauma where he still can't get along with other people or where he feels that by staying away from others he wouldn't have to suffer so much again in case they die.

Goblin Slayer besides being a character with a lot of style, having a great strength and helping those who need it, is a character that shows that in a world full of magic and brute force not always the power is the only way to win, another aspect that I like a lot is how he always manages to overcome obstacles with his strategy, Although he has great strength, most of the decisive combats he overcomes them thanks to his mentality when planning the combat zone, creating traps or tricks that give him the advantage as well as using the environment and objects that he can carry to use us at the right time, no matter the problem if you think about it well, you will overcome it successfully. Despite ending up being such a strong and important character in the story at the end of the day he simply seeks to return home and continue with his life goal.

Creo que dos de las preguntas más complicadas de responder para cualquier fanático del anime son: ¿Cuál es tu anime favorito? Y ¿Cuál es tu personaje favorito?, justamente la segunda pregunta es la temática de uno de los concursos de la comunidad y la verdad he estado reflexionando mucho sobre la misma, hace un par de años me hice esta misma pregunta y me personaje favorito era Kirito principalmente por ser SAO mi anime favorito y siempre estar enfocado en ayudar a los demás, como no quisiera volver a mencionar a Kirito decidí mencionar a otro personaje que desde el primer momento en que vi su anime me ha parecido un gran personaje y lo podría considerar como uno de mis personaje favoritos de los animes.

Goblin Slayer es el personaje principal del anime con su mismo nombre (si, hasta el momento al menos en el anime no se dice su nombre), este personaje visualmente tiene un diseño muy interesante al tratarse de un personaje estilo medieval, con una armadura completa y un casco que cubre toda su cabeza y rostro, un estilo que recuerda mucho a los videojuegos RPG medievales en donde creo que muchos llegamos a tener personajes similares con ese estilo de armadura, escudo y espada.
Algo que llama mucho la atención de este personaje es su presentación en el anime, la primera vez que aparece es para salvar a la sacerdotisa y llega con un aura imponente y aterradora, un destello en sus ojos que muestran la sed de venganza que alberga en su interior y una frialdad a la hora de asesinar a los goblins en donde no duda ni por un momento, pero no da indicios de disfrutar eliminarlos, simplemente lo ve como parte de su deber.

Un aspecto de la personalidad del Goblin Slayer que destaca mucho es su actitud tan serena e introvertida, al final termina siendo un personaje realmente fuerte y que ha demostrado ser capaz de vencer a enemigos absurdamente poderosos, pero nunca muestra un vestigio de arrogancia o soberbia, se mantiene tranquilo, se preocupa por buscar trabajos de cazar goblins y no intenta sobresalir entre los demás, adicionalmente tiene la típica personalidad bonachona de varios protagonistas de anime en donde aunque prefiere estar solo, no duda en ayudar a alguien cuando lo necesita, apoyarlos y guiarlos sin esperar nada a cambio.

Un aspecto que me gusta bastante de este personaje es como se presenta un trasfondo bastante bueno para la razón de su personalidad y forma de ser, al sufrir una experiencia muy traumática y sentirse al borde la muerte de muy pequeño, se crea la personalidad solitaria y enfocada únicamente en cazar goblins para de esa manera sentir que está evitando que otras personas tengan que sufrir lo mismo que el paso de pequeño aunque no siempre lo consigue evitar, de cierto modo también se puede pensar que su forma de ser tan solitaria y algo fría se deba al propio trauma en donde aún no logra congeniar con otras personas o en donde siente que al mantenerse alejado de los demás no tendría que volver a sufrir tanto en caso de que ellos mueran.

Goblin Slayer además de ser un personaje con bastante estilo, tener una gran fuerza y ayudar a quienes lo necesitan, es un personaje que demuestra que en un mundo repleto de magia y fuerza bruta no siempre el poder es la única forma de vencer, otro aspecto que me gusta bastante es como siempre logra superar los obstáculos con su estrategia, aunque posea gran fuerza la mayoría de los combates decisivos los supera gracias a su mentalidad al planificar la zona de combare, crear trampas o trucos que le consigan dar la ventaja así como utilizar el entorno y objetos que puede cargar para utilizarnos en el momento indicado, no importa el problema si lo piensas bien seguro lo superas de forma exitosa. A pesar de terminar siendo un personaje tan fuerte e importante en la historia al final del día simplemente busca volver a su casa y continuar con su objetivo de vida.

Seriously though, those are the hardest question that anyone can ask to anime fans. I've lot of fav anime and of course in those anime I have favorites too, so, it's really hard to just give one, lol.
Anyways, i'm familiar with Goblin Slayer coz I'm seeing a lot of post about that. I also tried watching episode one but I can't seem to focus on the story and coz of that I didn't finish episode one. But maybe I'll try it again, seeing the character you mention here made me feel curioud about it, again. Let see if I will like it this time, hehe.
