El Señor Dragón, amo del fuego y del aire, había dominado la tierra por miles de años, siendo un guardián justo, cuya tarea era mantener el equilibrio entre todas las criaturas, tanto terrestres, como marinas y también las que surcaban el aire.

Pero había una especie que tenía celos del poder que ejercía el Señor Dragón, y eran los seres humanos.

Éstos se negaban a vivir en armonía con el resto de las criaturas de la tierra, y a menudo atentaban contra ellas sin necesidad alguna, sino por el simple placer de sentirse superiores.

El Señor Dragón observaba todo desde las alturas de los picos nevados, reflexionando sobre lo que debía hacer con los humanos.

Cansado de ver tanto sufrimiento causado por el hombre, juró que nunca más sería visto por ellos, quienes celebraron con fiestas y bailes la noticia.

Lo que no sabían los hombres, es que el castigo que el Señor Dragón decidió para ellos era justamente el dejarlos hacer libremente lo que quisieran, ya que las consecuencias de sus actos serían la retribución merecida que más tarde o temprano acabaría por extinguir la humanidad para que la tierra pudiera resurgir de sus cenizas con un nuevo esplendor.
