wow. I was speechless, he does not have it easy in his personal and professional life, much less in his social life, as they say in these parts of the world in my country, the stones fell on his roof, now with a corrupt wife, he without knowing it, somehow will be affected, because everyone will say that he also participated.
I got caught up in the detail of the description of the hand gestures when he held his hands to his head, I can imagine the moment.

Although not at all funny, I had to laugh when you wrote:

"the stones fell on his roof"

How appropriate because that is exactly what happened once he discovered her deceit...his house came crashing down around his head, as we say.
