Five Years - Celebrating our 5th anniversary (and looking forward to many more): my favourite project at Hive. / Festejando nuestro 5to aniversario (y deseando que sean muchos más): mi proyecto favorito en Hive. 😃❤️

Five years can fly by and so it was for our beloved Hive network, which celebrated its fifth anniversary on 20 March. I like to know that I joined this platform only three months after its launch, eager to write during the pandemic but without even knowing what a cryptocurrency was. All the rest is history: it's been an amazing few years and I'm glad to still belong to this space. In case you haven't seen it yet, there is currently a contest in this post by @hiveio, where in one of its items we are invited to tell which is our favourite project in Hive. Take the chance to participate and to highlight which one is yours ❤️.

Cinco años pueden pasar volando y así fue para nuestra querida red Hive, la cual celebró su quinto aniversario este pasado 20 de marzo. Me gusta saber que me uní a esta plataforma solo tres meses después de su lanzamiento, con muchas ganas de escribir durante la pandemia pero sin saber siquiera lo que era una criptomoneda. Todo el resto es historia: han sido unos años increíbles y me alegra seguir perteneciendo a este espacio. Por si no has visto aún, actualmente hay un concurso en este post de @hiveio, donde en uno de sus ítems nos invitan a contar cuál es nuestro proyecto favorito en Hive. It's been a long time since I joined an initiative or contest, but every now and then I like to participate in these kinds of group activities. For over a year and a half, my blog has been all about travel and adventures, and this is what Hive has allowed me to do lately. When I think about all the places I've been able to visit thanks to my commitment here, I get a little excited. In addition to the trips, Hive allows me to support my daily income and keeps me entertained while I write and share photos here. It's been a long way, but it's definitely been worth it for me. If you've recently joined Hive and are a little lost, let me tell you, we all feel that way at first, but it's only a matter of time until you find your way here 😃.

Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que me uní a una iniciativa o concurso, pero de tanto en tanto me gusta participar en este tipo de actividades colectivas. Hace más de un año y medio que mi blog se trata íntegramente de viajes y paseos, y esto es lo que Hive me ha permitido hacer últimamente. Cuando me pongo a pensar en todo los lugares en los que pude estar gracias a mi compromiso aquí, me emociono un poco. Además de los viajes, Hive me permite sustentar mi economía diaria y me mantiene entretenida mientras escribo y comparto fotos acá. Fue un camino largo, que sin dudas valió la pena para mí. Si te has unido a Hive hace poco y estas un poco perdido, dejame decirte que todos nos sentimos así al principio, pero solo es cuestión de tiempo hasta que encuentres tu camino aquí 😃.

In my more than four years at Hive, I had the opportunity to be involved in several projects, always trying to help the community to be what it is, and to support other authors who create quality content and deserve to be rewarded for it. Currently, I belong to three projects where I am a curator and I like to feel that I contribute my bit on a daily basis. The first one is the @ocd group, from where I support publications made in the @needleworkmonday community and also some others from other communities. The second, and more recent, is the @topcomment project that rewards good comments. And last but not least, my favourite, the @worldmappin project that inspires me to keep travelling and discovering the world a bit more ❤️.

En mis más de cuatro años en Hive, tuve la oportunidad de involucrarme en varios proyectos, siempre tratando de ayudar a la comunidad a ser lo que es, y a apoyar a otros autores que crean su contenido de calidad, mereciendo una recompensa por ello. Actualmente, pertenezco a tres proyectos en donde soy curadora y me gusta sentir que aporto con mi granito de arena a diario. El primero de ellos es el grupo de OCD, desde donde apoyo a publicaciones hechas en la comunidad de @needleworkmonday y también algunas otras de otras comunidades. El segundo y más reciente, es el proyecto de @topcomment que se encarga de recompensar buenos comentarios. Y último pero mi favorito, el proyecto de @worldmappin que es el que me inspira a seguir viajando y descubriendo un poco más el mundo ❤️.

The Worldmappin project, initially called Pinmapple, has been a favourite of mine since my early days here. When I made my first pinned post to the map, I had barely a month of joining Hive and not many posts done before I understood how it all worked. The existence of a project that supported and rewarded you for your travel content seemed excellent and more than interesting, I hadn't seen anything like it anywhere else. Added to this was the fact that the rewards were in cryptocurrency, a practically new word to me. All this motivated me to write about it and to collect rewards to travel more and more, as I still do today. It was in June last year when there was a ‘transfer of hands’ and rebranding of the project and I was able to join as a member of the new team with the role of curator and moderator. More than happy to be able to get even more involved with all this, helping others with their travel posts while sharing my own ❤️.

El proyecto de Worldmappin, inicialmente llamado Pinmapple, es mi favorito desde mis primeros días aquí. Cuando hice mi primer post anclado al mapa, apenas llevaba un mes de haberme unido a Hive y no muchas publicaciones hechas antes de entender como funcionaba todo. La existencia de un proyecto que te apoyara y recompensara por tu contenido de viajes me parecía excelente y más que interesante, no había visto algo así en ningún otro lugar. Además, se sumaba el hecho de que las recompensas eran en criptomonedas, una palabra prácticamente nueva para mí. Todo eso me fue motivando a escribir sobre eso y a recolectar recompensar para viajar cada vez más, como sigo haciendo hasta ahora. Fue en junio del año pasado cuando hubo un "traspaso de manos" y rebranding del proyecto y pude unirme como integrante del nuevo equipo con el rol de curadora y moderadora. Más que feliz por poder involucrarme aún más con todo esto, ayudando a otros con sus posts de viajes al mismo tiempo que comparto los míos propios ❤️.

I really like this project because it encourages sharing travel experiences, interacting with other travellers and getting to know new places in the world. As a traveller and now a member of the project, I like that people use the map, also as a souvenir of the places they have been to. I also like that people show us the beautiful places they have near where they live, because you don't have to travel far or very expensive to show something interesting. And that's the great thing about Hive, that even with little you can do a lot. In case you're not familiar with the project, I invite you to visit the Worldmappin Community and see what's out there. I also remind you that every time you make a post and want to highlight its location, you can add a pin to it to the map. This way, little by little, you'll fill your personal map with the places you've visited. I'm already reaching almost 500 pins and on the whole map there are more than 130k, what do you think 😃?.

Este proyecto me gusta mucho porque anima a compartir experiencias de viaje, a interactuar con otros viajeros y a conocer lugares nuevos del mundo. Como viajera y ahora integrante del proyecto, me gusta que las personas usen el mapa, también a modo de recuerdo de los lugares en los que han estado. También me gusta que las personas nos muestren los lugares lindos que tienen cerca de donde viven, porque tampoco hace falta viajar muy lejos o muy costoso para poder mostrar algo interesante. Y es lo bueno que tiene Hive, que hasta con poco se puede hacer mucho. En caso de que no conozcas el proyecto, te invito a visitar la Comunidad Worldmappin y ver que hay por ahí. También te recuerdo que cada vez que hagas una publicación y quieras destacar su ubicación, puedes añadirle un pin para que se añada al mapa. Así, poco a poco, vas a llenar tu mapa personal de los lugares que has visitado. Yo ya estoy alcanzando casi los 500 pines y en el mapa entero hay más de 130k, ¿qué les parece? 😃.

But beyond this project, which is the one I like the most personally and at a blogging level, there are other projects in Hive that I find very interesting and that help people in their daily lives. One of them is the project related to the installation of water wells in areas that need them, mainly in Ghana. I think this is simply wonderful and is proof of all that can be realised thanks to Hive's intervention, more than positively changing people's quality of life. Another project I also like is that of SpendHBD & @distriator, which with its payment and return system allows us to use our HBD for everyday purchases. I think that this payment method in turn serves as a way to spread all that we can gain from our side in Hive, going beyond the screen and materialising in useful things all our work here 😃.

Pero más allá de este proyecto que es el que más me gusta en lo personal y a nivel blogging, en Hive hay otros más que me parecen muy interesantes y que logran ayudar a las personas en su vida diaria. Uno de ellos es el proyecto relacionado con la instalación de pozos de agua en las zonas que los necesitan, principalmente en Ghana. Esto me parece simplemente algo maravilloso y es la prueba de todo lo que se puede materializar gracias a la intervención de Hive, cambiando más que positivamente la calidad de vida de las personas. Otro proyecto que también me gusta es el de SpendHBD & @distriator, que con su sistema de pagos y retornos permite usar nuestro HBD para compras diarias. Pienso que este método de pago a su vez sirve como difusión de todo lo que podemos ganar desde nuestro lado en Hive, traspasando la pantalla y materializando en cosas útiles todo nuestro trabajo aquí 😃.

I think the Hive community is the perfect place to bring ideas and develop them. Our ecosystem is very broad and open to innovative proposals, which is why there are so many things to see and do. These first five years have been very fruitful, and I hope there are many more to come, with a strong desire to grow and expand. I'm sure more and more people will be able to enjoy all the things we do here, directly and indirectly. This was just the beginning of a long journey 💞.

Pienso que la comunidad de Hive es el lugar perfecto para traer ideas y desarrollarlas. Nuestro ecosistema es muy amplio y abierto a propuestas innovadoras, y por eso es que hay tantas cosas para ver y hacer. Estos primeros cinco años han sido muy fructíferos, y espero que hayan muchos más por delante, en donde no falten las ganas de crecer y expandirse. Estoy segura de que cada vez más personas van a poder disfrutar de todas las cosas que hacemos aca, directa e indirectamente. Este fue apenas el comienzo de un largo camino 💞.
