Coming up with an innovative idea for Hive took me a while because at first glance it seems like everything has already been invented. But right now, time is what I have to spare. I don't know when exactly I'll post this, but right now, at the time of writing, it's Saturday night and I have nothing better to do. Not because I don't have a social life, but because I'm saving my physical energy for my first 8K run tomorrow morning. But my creative energy is available to think of something to write about here, and this is what I came up with 😂.

Pensar una idea innovadora para Hive me tomó un buen rato porque a simple vista pareciera que todo está inventado. Pero justo en este momento, tiempo es lo que me sobra. No sé cuando voy a publicar esto exactamente, pero ahora, al momento de escribirlo, es sábado a la noche y no tengo nada mejor que hacer. No porque no tenga vida social, sino porque estoy guardando mi energía física para mi primer carrera de 8 km mañana por la mañana. Pero mi energía creativa está disponible como para pensar en algo para escribir acá y esto es lo que se me ocurrió 😂.

In case you haven't heard, our beloved platform celebrated its first five years a few days ago. That may not seem like much time, but it's built a huge amount. Just take a look at what the vast Hive ecosystem looks like here (by the way, I think it's a great idea to bring everything together in one place, even though I wasn't aware of several projects). There's also a small contest with a raffle being held by @hiveio, where the third task is to describe what innovative ideas we'd like to see on Hive. Feel free to participate as well 😃.

Tan solo hecha un vistazo a cómo se ve el gran ecosistema de Hive aquí (por cierto, me parece una idea genial agrupar todo lo que hay en un solo lugar, incluso desconocía varios proyectos). También se está llevando a cabo un pequeño concurso con rifa incluida por parte de @hiveio, en donde la tercera consigna es describir qué ideas innovadoras nos gustaría ver en Hive. I think if we were to draw a parallel between Hive and Web2, we could find Web3 versions of almost every social network out there: there are interfaces for long posts, for primarily photo posts, for posts with short text, for uploading videos. But on this night of excessive free time, I realized that one network we use precisely for part of the behind-the-scenes work at Hive, and which doesn't have a parallel on our blockchain (or at least I didn't realize it), is the famous Discord 😃.

Creo que si hicieramos un paralelismo entre Hive y Web2 podríamos encontrar las versiones Web3 de casi todas las redes sociales que hay: interfaces para publicaciones largas hay, para publicaciones principalmente de fotos hay, para posts con pequeños textos hay, para subir videos hay. Pero en esta noche de exceso de tiempo libre me di cuenta de que una red que usamos justamente para parte del detrás de escena de Hive y que no tiene su paralelo en nuestra blockchain (o al menos no me enteré), es el famoso Discord 😃.

It's no news that at Hive we interact with people from all over the world and who live in other time zones, but with whom we form work groups and need to communicate. Whether it's to agree on things, chat casually, or in my case, to participate in internal curation groups, the main communication channel is Discord. This medium is convenient due to its features and ease of use, but it makes me wonder why we don't have our own Web3 website/interface for that 😶.

No es noticia que en Hive nos relacionamos con gente de todo el mundo y que vive en otras zonas horarias, pero con la que formamos grupos de trabajo y necesitamos comunicarnos. Ya sea para ponernos de acuerdo en cosas, charlar distendidamente, o en mi caso, para participar de los grupos internos de curación, el principal canal de comunicación es Discord. Este medio es cómodo por sus funciones y su fácil usabilidad, pero me deja pensando en por qué no tenemos nuestro propio sitio Web3/interfaz para eso 😶.

Of course, I ask this question completely out of ignorance, having no idea how the "Hivescord" I'm talking about could be implemented. But technology has advanced, and by experimenting with Peakd's AI image generation service, I was able to bring this thought to life. Incidentally, this is the first time I've ever created an image with AI. Each one cost me 0.05 HBD, but it was worth it to have an illustration of exactly what I asked it to recreate. Is this amazing or a threat to human creativity 😅?

Pero la tecnología avanzó y experimentando con el servicio de generación de imagenes de IA de Peakd pude materializar este pensamiento. Dicho sea de paso, es la primera vez que creo una imagen con IA en mi vida, cada una me costó 0.05 HBD pero valió la pena obtener una ilustración de lo que le pedí exactamente que me recreara. ¿Asombroso o amenaza para la creatividad humana 😅?

A while back, the Peakd interface had incorporated an internal chat similar to the one I'm talking about, but I didn't even realize when it was removed and I didn't trying it. If something like this already exists and I'm not aware of it, it would be good to know. And if not, well, at least this night of not going out before the run and playing with AI image creation was fun. These five years of Hive have been great, with great projects developed. I'm eager to see what else comes next; I'm sure great things await us. What innovative idea would you like to see in Hive 😃?

Hace un tiempo, la interfaz Peakd había incorporado un chat interno que era similar al que digo, pero ni siquiera me di cuenta de cuando lo sacaron y tampoco había llegado a probarlo. Si ya existe algo así y lo desconozco, estaría bueno saberlo. Y si no, bueno al menos fue entretenida esta noche de no salir antes de la carrera y de jugar con la creación de imágenes de IA. Estos cinco años de Hive han sido geniales y con grandes proyectos desarrollados.
