LaBitConf 2023 in Argentina - Hive is present at the largest annual crypto meeting in Latin America. / Hive dice presente en la reunión anual de cripto más grande de Latinoamérica. 😃❤️

This weekend couldn't have been more incredible and that's thanks to the people at Hive who manage to make everything so much more fun. Im happy because my schedule worked out perfectly so that I can be present at the big #LaBitConf2023 event in Buenos Aires and I really liked being part of this. With a lot of effort behind the scenes from our colleagues who put all their dedication, care and love into bringing these types of events forward, we were all able to have a great afternoon. Surrounded by friends, new people interested in what we do and also with continuous learning about the crypto world, this days were very exciting for us 💕.

Este fin de semana no pudo haber sido más increíble y eso es gracias a la gente de Hive que logra volver todo mucho más divertido. Estoy feliz porque mi cronograma se dió perfectamente para que pueda estar presente en el gran evento de #LaBitConf2023 en Buenos Aires y realmente me gustó ser parte de esto. Con mucho esfuerzo detrás de escena por parte de nuestros colegas que ponen toda su dedicación, esmero y amor para llevar este tipo de eventos adelante, todos pudimos tener una gran tarde. Rodeados de amigos, de gente nueva interesada en lo que hacemos y también con contínuo aprendizaje sobre el mundo cripto, estos días fueron muy emocionantes para nosotros 💕.

After my almost two months of travel in the province of San Juan, I scheduled a three-week return to Buenos Aires before embarking on a slightly longer trip to the south of my country. The reason for this intermediate stop was because I didn't want to miss some family events, but it was also good for me to catch up with my friends and also to be able to attend LaBitConf, among other things. I was quite excited about attending this event and meeting some hivers as we are a bit new to meetups in Argentina so far as we only did one last year 😅.

Después de mis casi dos meses de viaje en la provincia de San Juan, programé una vuelta de tres semanas a Buenos Aires antes de emprender un viaje un poco más largo al sur de mi país. El motivo de esta parada intermedia era porque no quería perderme algunos eventos familiares, pero también me vino bien para ponerme al día con mis amigos y también para poder asisitir a LaBitConf, entre otras cosas. Me emocionó bastante la idea de asistir a este evento y reunirme con algunos hivers ya que hasta ahora somos un poco nuevos con las reuniones en Argentina porque solo hicimos una el año pasado 😅.

This event was scheduled for November 10 and 11 at the Costa Salguero meeting center, in the city of Buenos Aires. This place is widely used for this type of corporate events and has enough space to receive all the guests of this meeting. Several companies and members of the cryptographic community were going to be present with their proposals, works and exhibitions, thus gathering a national and international audience 😃.

Este evento estaba programado para los días 10 y 11 de noviembre en el centro de reuniones de Costa Salguero, en la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Este lugar es ampliamente usado para este tipo de eventos corporativos y cuenta con el lugar suficiente para recibir a todos los invitados de esta reunión. Varias empresas y miembros de la comunidad criptográfica iban a estar presentes con sus propuestas, trabajos y exposiciones, reuniendo así audiencia nacional e internacional 😃.

On Friday the weather played tricks on us because the rain came early and lasted throughout the day. However, that did not stop several attendees from arriving at the event to visit all the stands and attend the talks. That was the first day in which we met with more hivers who had arrived from Venezuela exclusively to be part of this event. In addition to our Argentinian colleagues, it was nice to meet more people who share the common interest in Hive ❤️.

El día viernes el clima nos jugó una mala pasada porque la lluvia llegó desde temprano y se extendió durante todo el día. Sin embargo, eso no impidió que varios asistentes llegaran al evento para visitar todos los stands y asistir a las charlas. Ese fue el primer día en el que nos reunimos con más hivers llegados de Venezuela exclusivamente para formar parte de este evento. Además de nuestros colegas argentinos, fue lindo conocer a más personas que comparten el interés común por Hive ❤️.

As for our stand, I must say that we got a quite privileged place near the main access door and the door to the food court. This made people who had just arrived come to ask about our proposal. In order to cover the stand throughout the day (from 9 AM to 9 PM), our fellow hivers were in charge of putting together group schedules so that we could all spend some time being present and answering questions 😃.

En cuanto a nuestro stand, debo decir que nos tocó un lugar bastante privilegiado cerca de la puerta de acceso principal y de la puerta hacia el patio de comidas. Esto hacía que la gente recién llegada se acercara a consultar sobre nuestra propuesta. Para poder cubrir el stand durante toda la jornada (desde 9 AM a 9PM), nuestros compañeros hivers se encargaron de armar cronogramas de grupos para que todos dedicaramos un rato a estar presentes y responder preguntas 😃.

I think the question we answered the most over the two days was "what is Hive?" It was very interesting to see how people were amazed at the existence of a social network in which one's own content can be monetized. This is logical given that in most Web2 networks this is not possible for people who do not manage to be great influencers or recognized by a large audience. Many also asked if you had to have a large number of followers to achieve this, or since when can you make money from posts. The surprise was greater at the possibility of being rewarded from the first post. We're awesome 😎.

Creo que la pregunta que más respondimos durante los dos días fue "¿qué es Hive?". Fue muy interesante ver como la gente se asombraba ante la existencia de una red social en la que el contenido propio puede ser monetizado. Esto es lógico dado que en la mayoría de las redes de Web2 esto no es posible para las personas que no logran ser grandes influencers o reconocidos por una gran audiencia. Muchos también preguntaban si había que tener una gran cantidad de seguidores para lograr esto, o desde cuando se pueden obtener ganancias con las publicaciones. La sorpresa era mayor ante la posibilidad de ser recompensados desde el primer post. Somos geniales 😎.

Something that also seemed great to me is that after visiting the rest of the stands, I did not find any proposal even similar to ours. That, in addition to being great, made us unique in this meeting and this filled me with pride. It made me happy to participate in this group and this crypto proposal that is different from all others ❤️.

Algo que también me pareció genial es que después de recorrer el resto de los stands, no encontré ninguna propuesta ni siquiera similar a la nuestra. Eso además de geniales nos hacía únicos en esta reunión y esto me llenó de orgullo. Me hizo feliz participar de este grupo y de esta propuesta cripto diferente a todas ❤️.

This year was the 11th year that this event has been held and I thought it was quite well organized, both by the Hive team and by the rest of the stands and exhibitors. Most of the booths that were around us were from different exchanges and wallets to trade cryptos. There were a few other proposals I hadn't heard of, like an item marketing platform with cryptocurrency payments, a Bitcoin-powered commuter van, and an app for making NFT stickers 😃.

Este año fue el número 11 en el que se realiza este evento y me pareció que estuvo bastante bien organizado, tanto por parte del equipo de Hive como por el resto de los stands y expositores. La mayoría de los stands que estuvieron alrededor nuestro eran de diferentes exchanges y billeteras para comercializar criptos. Había algunas otras propuestas que no había escuchado, como una plataforma de comercialización de artículos con pagos en criptomonedas, una camioneta de viajeros que se sustentan con Bitcoin y una app para hacer stickers NFT 😃.

Regarding the entertainment part, at this meeting there were also quite a few games and proposals to win merchandising from different companies. In our free time walking around the fair we were able to play some skill and virtual reality games, as well as visit exhibitions. There was even a sector where people could get a tattoo referring to the crypto world, and as crazy as it sounds, there were people joining that 😅.

Con respecto a la parte de entretenimiento, en esta reunión también habían bastantes juegos y propuestas para ganar merchandising de las distintas empresas. En nuestros ratos libres para pasear por la feria pudimos jugar a algunos juegos de destreza y realidad virtual, así como también visitar exposiciones. Incluso había un sector donde la gente podía hacerse un tatuaje refrerido al mundo cripto, y por loco que suene, había gente sumandose a eso 😅.

There was also a section where several NFT works of art were displayed as if it were a gallery and you could also sit down and have a drink. I found this space very interesting because there were screens showing the works, and there were also other 3D printed ones or sculptures. The one that caught my attention the most was one that was made with wool and had a QR code, which led directly to information about the work and the artist 😃.

También había un sector en donde estaban exhibidas varias obras de arte NFT como si fuera un galería y también se podia sentar a tomar algo. Este espacio me pareció muy interesante porque habían pantallas mostrando las obras, y también había otras impresas en 3D o esculturas. La que más me llamó la atención fue una que estaba hecha con lana y tenía un código QR, el cuál llevaba directamente a información sobre el trabajo y el artista 😃.

Unlike Friday where the weather was not good enough to be outdoors, on Saturday everything was much better and we were also able to go out and enjoy the patio a little, where there was an area to have lunch and a drink. At the end of the day, we were also able to go to an area where you can get closer to the Río de La Plata and appreciate the landing and departure of the planes from there. This Costa Salguero place is located very close to the airport, so seeing the planes is always a classic here ❤️.

A diferencia del viernes donde el clima no acompañó como para estar al aire libre, el sábado todo fue mucho mejor y también pudimos salir a disfrutar un poco al patio, donde había un sector para almorzar y tomar algo. Al final de la jornada, también pudimos ir hasta un sector donde se puede acercar al Río de La Plata y apreciar desde ahí el aterrizaje y partida de los aviones. Este lugar Costa Salguero se encuentra muy cerca del aeropuerto, así que ver los aviones siempre es un clásico de acá ❤️.

I always like to see all the events that have Hive present because I think it is a great opportunity to continue making ourselves known and to invite more people to join our network. I liked participating in a crypto event like this because we were also able to meet more people who are involved in this whole world that is truly revolutionary. And I am also happy that our stand and our enthusiasm for conveying what Hive is and its benefits have attracted the attention of several attendees: every day more satisfied, convinced and grateful for being part of all this ❤️.

Siempre me gusta ver todos los eventos que tengan a Hive presente porque pienso que es una gran oportunidad para seguir dándonos a conocer y para invitar a más personas a que se unan a nuestra red. Me gustó participar de un evento cripto como este porque también pudimos conocer a más personas que están involucradas en todo este mundo que es realmente revolucionario. Y también me alegra que nuestro stand y nuestro entusiasmo por transmitir lo qué es Hive y sus bondades hayan atraído la atención de varios asistentes: cada día más conforme, convencida y agradecida por ser parte de todo esto ❤️.
