Enchanted Pixie Splinterlands Weekly Art Contest Fanart

Enchanted Pixie.png

Hello, How are you? This summer heat is making me pump out all my energy, and I like it. The heat outside is so unbearable, yikes! Am I the only one who feels sleepy when the weather is hot? LOL
Back to the topic for my entry for this week, I am going to draw Enchanted Pixie, which I chose instantly the moment I saw her. So yeah, I like her pink hair, and I think this character will work for me.

The Process:

I'm starting to think how I survive with this kind of sketch. LOL But before, I couldn't stand to finish the line art when my sketch is like this, so yeah, maybe I am more tolerant now. Trust the process, I guess.

For the line art, I used a detail marker as my brush, and then I adjusted the stabilization of the brush to make the line art cleaner when I started drawing it.

For this part, I used a shape fill brush to add the base color, and I made sure that each part had its layer to make rendering easier later.

For this part, I still used the shape fill brush to add shadow to the part that needed it. Using the shape fill brush is much easier than using air airbrush.

After adding the base render-like shadow what I do is I blurred the shadow I added before to make it softer and blended it to the color.

For this part, I started using soft airbrush to add more shades to the part that needed to be.

The inspiration for the glowing is from Tinkerbell, I think. Yeah, I think adding those makes her look more like a little fairy.
