A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
Hello everyone.
I feel so great being a member of this great community of skilled writers. In response to the @freewriters picture prompt, I have decided to have an entry.
From the image above, I can see a large ship which seems to have been parked and anchored at the shore. The area looks crowded too, then beside the place is a tree for shade.
I feel either the ship just arrived and people are thronging out or the ship is about to leave and passengers are thronging in.
My Story
Abel, a young introverted son of a lawyer. He lived with his mom in their hometown. Abel and his family often spent time together every three months, but this time the family got together was a special one. Abel's dad, the lawyer, had a case he was working on outside his state. The case kept him there for months.
Because of this, the family getting together was only feasible if Abel and his mom would travel down to Aba State. The shortest and cheapest means of transportation from Imo, that's Abel's hometown down to Aba, was by water. So Abel and his mom had to board a ship that would convey them there.
All the passengers got in at the right time and the journey began. The journey lasted till it was night. At midnight when everyone was asleep, there arose a great storm that woke everyone up from sleep. There was great fear in everyone, even the sailors and hostesses.
Abel thought of many things he would miss if he died on the ship. He thought of his dad, his friends, his pet and his toy cars. But they later arrived safely. By the time they arrived, it was dawn and immediately the ship was anchored, everyone began to throng out of the ship, some went straight to the tree shade there to sit and recover from their fears.

Wow, that was an innovative one, I never knew when i finished reading. It really scary to be on water and you hear there is an issue with the engines of the ship.
Or you onboard a flight and the pilot said he is having problems with one of the engines.
I am glad the ship was anchored safely. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for reading friend. That was a real definition of "safe journey",l.
!gifs well done

I wonder how much affect a storm has on a ship like this. I also imagine how the sailors of wooden boats felt hundreds of year's ago... We're they more sailors, used to the sea?
