A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
Hello dear friends in the #freewriters community. It's a great achievement for me to have an entry for this picture prompt.

What I can see:
I can see a pelican with feathers of different colors of black, white and light pink beak. I can see the water body in the background and the rock on which the pelican is resting on.
What I feel”:
I feel the pelican is calmly waiting on the rock for a prey fish to catch or probably it's having a resting time while standing on the rock.
My Story
It's been raining since morning, all the birds in their nest making the sky look empty. The birds must have probably been staying off to avoid getting their feathers wet.
But as the heavy rainfall turned to common drizzle, some birds began to dive out of their nests, among them is a pelican which has already perched on a rock waiting for a prey to use for its breakfast.
This is my entry for the #pic1000 prompt.
I always wonder if birds are dry in their nests. I doubt it. I saw a couple of storks standing straight up in their nest in the pouring rain. Guess what? Not one of them spread its wings like an umbrella to keep the chicks safe from the rain. Perhaps it's a way to shower and clean the dirty nest?
