My Favourite Community on Hive

Namaste everyone!
I feel so cool making my first entry for the #iucontest. I was able to come across this contest because it was reblogged by a friend of mine here on hive. The prompt for this week is great and I hope this wouldn't be considered a late entry because I'm just seeing the contest for the first time and then I decided to join, I never wanted to miss the first chance.

Talking about my best community on hive, I would say it's the #shadowhunters community. This is one of the communities on hive that I engage in the most. It's a place for those that love making use of their cameras and the camera is not specific, it can be a phone camera or any other. When I was introduced to hive, the first post I made was my introduction post followed by an entry for the ongoing shadow contest at that time.

Though I haven't had enough time to explore other communities here on hive, but I would say from the few communities I have visited and explored, shared ideas and check up others' posts, I definitely say I love the #shadowhunters community. Just like I said, I haven't explored many other communities, so I have just a few communities to make choices from and that final choice is the shadow hunters community.

One of the things I got to find out about the #shadowhunters community is “Kindness”. Comparing my first shadow photos entry into the community, I would say it was not to be compared to the least quality shadow photos but I still had many replies, votes and few reblogs. That made me feel like people there care. It's a community that demands quality not by force but by expression. If one feeds the community with quality shadow photos, then the rewards and recognition would be worth the effort and creativity put in by the creator.

I also love this community for being unrelenting in keeping their members engaged. Sometimes when my week is filled up with many activities because I live with my aunty helping her out with her family, I don't meet up with my posting routine and when I try to think of a community to visit and make a post, the shadow hunters community is always there for me. There hasn't been any week that a new reflection or shadow prompt is not made available for members to engage with to avoid writer's block.

Lastly, when I visited the shadow hunters for the first time, I felt it's a community for only shadow photos just like the name implies but as time went on, I got to find out that reflection photos are also welcomed into the community but considered and categorised under a separate contest. So in the shadow hunters community, we have a shadow contest as well as a reflection contest. These two contests occur every week and treat every qualified entry as needed.

I hope to find other communities too and explore just like I have found the #indiaunited community today, but for now, #shadowhunters community takes the crown.
