Hello friends and members of Olio di Balena community!

Today is Thursday, February 15, and like every Thursday I have a nice and recurring posting task here on Hive: The Olio di Balena-Inleo Weekend Threading Contest.

Today there is also another important recurring event for Inleo users because the second LPUD of 2024 is underway.
I participated with a LEO Power Up of 310 LP and I also shared my progress on Inleo in a post I published a few hours ago: My Inleo Progress + My HP delegation Switch to Staked + My LEO Power UP in the 2nd LPUD of 2024 (ENG/ITA)

Regarding the Odb-Inleo contest with this post there are 24 contests that I have published so far and I am glad that there has been so far a good participation from the members of the Olio di Balena community

The Olio di Balena community is the community in which I am a moderator and it is also the community that supported me the most at the beginning of my adventure on Hive when I was a Minnow and had less than 1K HP and for that reason I am very attached to this community.

The Olio di Balena - Inleo weekend threading contest is the result of a collaboration between the Olio di Balena and InLeo communities and has, as always, a double objective:

• create a moment of interaction and sharing among the users of Olio di Balena
• raise knowledge of a useful tool created by Inleo for Hive communities: the Community Threads

In fact the UI of Inleo is a front-end that can be used to interact and post on all Hive communities such as Peakd and Ecency and also allows writing Community threads.

Before announcing the winners of mini-contest number 23, I'll quickly show you what is the new theme of the 24th edition of the weekend threading Odb-Inleo contest.

New Weekend Contest Topic

The theme of the new contest is a theme related to our beloved Hive because you have to answer the question:

What is the app, tool or feature of Hive that you would like to use but have not been able to use or what is the app, tool or feature of Hive that you had a lot of difficulty in before you learned how to use it?

Important Notes:

• Your thread must also contain 1 photo or 1 image or 1 screenshot
• Enter a photo/image pertaining to the topic of the contest.
  The photo/image must be your own, it can be a photo/image you have in your photo archive but you cannot use a photo taken from the web even if it is copyright free and you cannot use AI generated photos.
• Threads containing only a photo or only text will not be considered.

Contest Deadline

• Start: February 15, 2024

• End: Monday, February 19, 2024 - 11:59 p.m. UTC-1

Contest Rules

• Rule 1:

You must create a Thread within the Olio di Balena community (= a thread with tag #oliodibalena).

• Rule 2:

Write a community thread in which you answer the question: What is the app, tool or feature of Hive that you would like to use but have not been able to use or what is the app, tool or feature of Hive that you had a lot of difficulty in before you learned how to use it?

• Rule 3:

• Your thread must also contain 1 photo or 1 image or 1 screenshot
• Enter a photo/image pertaining to the topic of the contest. The photo/image must be your own, it can be a photo/image you have in your photo archive but you cannot use a photo taken from the web even if it is copyright free and you cannot use AI generated photos.
• Threads containing only a photo or only text will not be considered.

• Rule 4:

you can choose to write your thread in Italian language or English language or both.

• Rule 5:

you must be a member of the Olio di Balena community.

the contest starts today, February 15, 2024 and ends at 11:59 p.m. (Italian time = UTC+1) on Monday, February 19, 2024.

Contest Prizes

• The 5 Threads that generate the biggest interaction will receive 10 LEO = 1.75 HIVE
  New IMPORTANT NOTE: If the contest will have 4 or fewer entries, LEO prizes will not be awarded. Instead, prizes in HBD will always be awarded.

• 3 Threads will be chosen randomly and win 1 HBD each

• Your thread could also be voted by Inleo

The total prizepool of this week's mini contest has a total value = 50 LEO (=8.76 HIVE) + 3 HBD (= 9.21 HIVE) = 17.97 HIVE = 5.84$

How to Create a Thread in Olio di Balena

(Step-by-step guide)

A Thread is a Twitter-style post created and stored on the Hive blockchain through the use of the Inleo User Interface (UI)

A Community Thread is a thread posted within a Hive community and viewable within the Communities->"Community Name"->Threads section of the Inleo UI.

Olio di Balena community threads can be created and viewed within the Threads section of the page: https://inleo.io/communities/hive-146620
A thread is viewable in the Olio di Balena community if it contains the tag #oliodibalena

Creating a Community Thread is a very simple task and I will show you the steps to follow.

Step 1: Login to Inleo.

• Step 1.1: You have to go to https://inleo.io/ and then you have to click on Log in
  

• Step 1.2: On the next screen you have several log in options to choose from including: LeoAuth, QR Code, Hivesigner, Hive Keychain

• Log in with Hive KeyChain: You have to enter your Hive username, then you have to click on Log in and then you have to click on Confirm within the Hive Keychain screen.
  

• Log in with LeoAuth: You have to enter your Hive username, your Posting Key and then you have to click on Log in.
  

Step 2: Enter the Home Page of the Olio di Balena.

• Step 2.1: You need to click on Communities.
• Step 2.2: You must enter "Olio di Balena" or part of the name in the search field.
• Step 2.3: You must click on the box that contains the logo and name of Olio di Balena

• Alternative Step 2: you need to go directly to the link: https://inleo.io/communities/hive-146620

Step 3: Create and post the Contest Participation Thread.

• Step 3.1: Within the Home Page of Olio di Balena you need to click on Threads
• Step 3.2: Then you need to enter the text of your thread in the box that contains the #oliodibalena tag
• Step 3.3: Then you need to click on Thread in the bottom right corner.

Operation completed! Easy right? ;)

Now all you have to do is participate in this nice mini contest ;)

Advice: If the text of your thread exceeds the maximum capacity of a single thread you can also write a threadstorm.
In this case only in the first thread you have to insert:

• the tag oliodibalena
• the tag threadstorm
• the 1/x indication where x is the number of threads your threadstorm contains.

All other threads after the first one you must enter them as comments to your first thread indicating for each thread the number of the tread such as 2/5, 3/5, ... 5/5

The Participants and the Announcement of the Winners of the 23th edition of the Weekend Contest (February 8, 2024 - February 12, 2024)

In the contest that started on February 8 and ended on February 12, 2024, there were 10 participants.

Now I will show you all the community threads that the 10 participants posted.

The participants in the 23rd Odb-Inleo mini contest had to do the task that you can read in the screenshot below.

The first participant in chronological order was @babyl who shared a beautiful photo while playing on a tablet with her daughter.

Great choice and I really liked your thread because like you I also love playing with my daughter and spending time with your children is in my opinion the best way to spend time!

I follow a lot of blockchain based games with a natural preference for Hive games but if I have free time in the future I will try this mobile game because I liked your thread and it also made me curious about this game.

I really liked reading the favorite games of the 10 participants and also discovered games I did not know about.

Now comes the most pleasant moment of the weekend threading contest: awarding prizes to participants!

Unfortunately, also this week I cannot consider a participant for awarding prizes because according to rule number 4 the languages that can be used in the threads of this contest can be only two: Italian and English.

I love Spain and I love the Spanish language but a rule is a rule and I cannot make an exception because it would not be fair to the other participants.

Oggi è giovedì 15 febbraio e come ogni giovedi ho un piacevole e ricorrente impegno di pubblicazione qui su Hive: L'Olio di Balena-Inleo Weekend Threading Contest

Oggi c'è anche un altro importante evento ricorrente per gli utenti di Inleo perchè è in corso il secondo LPUD del 2024.

Per quanto riguarda il contest Odb-Inleo con questo post sono 24 i contests che ho pubblicato fino ad ora e sono contento che ci sia stata fino ad ora una buona partecipazione di hivers e di membri della comunità di Olio di Balena che, oltre ad essere la comunità in cui sono moderatore, è anche la comunità che mi ha supportato maggiormente all'inizio della mia avventura su Hive quando ero un Minnow e avevo meno di 1K HP.

Il mini contest Olio di Balena - Inleo è nato dalla collaborazione tra la comunità di Olio di Balena e InLeo e ha come sempre un duplice obiettivo:

• creare un momento di interazione e condivisione tra gli utenti di Olio di Balena
• far conoscere un utile strumento creato da InLeo per le comunità di Hive: i Community Threads

Come Creare un thread nella comunità di Olio di Balena

(Guida passo passo)

Un Thread è un post Twitter-style creato e memorizzato sulla blockchain di Hive tramite l'utilizzo della Inleo User Interface (UI)

Un Community Thread è un thread pubblicato all'interno di una comunità di Hive e visualizzabile all'interno della sezione Communities->"Nome Comunità"->Threads della Inleo UI.

I Community threads della comunità di Olio di Balena possono essere creati e visualizzati nella sezione Threads della pagina: https://inleo.io/communities/hive-146620
Nota Importante: Un thread è visualizzabile nella comunità di Olio di Balena se contiene il tag #oliodibalena

Creare un Community Thread è un'operazione molto semplice e ti mostro i passi da seguire.

Passo 1: Login su InLeo

• Passo 1.1: Devi andare su https://inleo.io/ e poi devi cliccare su Log in

• Passo 1.2: Nella schermata successiva hai diverse opzioni di log in tra cui scegliere tra cui: LeoAuth, QR Code, Hivesigner, Hive Keychain

• Log in con Hive KeyChain: Devi inserire il tuo Hive username, poi devi cliccare su Log in e poi devi cliccare su Confirm all'interno della schermata di Hive Keychain.

• Passo 2.3: Devi cliccare sul riquadro che contiene il logo e il nome di Olio di Balena

• Passo 2 alternativo: devi andare direttamente al link: https://inleo.io/communities/hive-146620

Passo 3: Creare e pubblicare il Thread di partecipazione al mini contest.

• Passo 3.1: All'interno della Home Page di Olio di Balena devi cliccare su Threads
• Passo 3.2: Poi devi inserire il testo del tuo thread nel riquadro che contiene il tag #oliodibalena
• Passo 3.3: Poi devi cliccare su Thread in basso a destra.

Operazione completata! Facile vero? ;)

Adesso non devi fare altro che partecipare a questo bel mini contest ;)

Consiglio: Se il testo del tuo thread è superiore alla capienza massima di un singolo thread puoi anche scrivere un threadstorm.
In questo caso solo nel primo thread devi inserire due tag:

• il tag threadstorm

I Partecipanti e l'Annuncio dei Vincitori della ventitreesima Edizione del Mini Contest (8 febbraio 2024 - 12 febbraio 2024)

Nel contest iniziato il giorno 8 febbraio e terminato il 12 febbraio 2024 ci sono stati 10 partecipanti.

Purtroppo anche questa settimana non posso considerare un partecipante per l'assegnazione dei premi perchè in base alla regola numero 4 le lingue utilizzabili nei thread di questo contest possono essere solo due: italiano e inglese.

Amo la Spagna e amo la lingua spagnola ma una regola è una regola e non posso fare un'eccezione perchè non sarebbe giusto nei confronti degli altri partecipanti.
