Hello friends and members of Olio di Balena community!

Today I am happy to present to you fourth edition of the mini contest born from the collaboration between the Olio di Balena community and Leofinance that has a double objective:

• create a moment of interaction and sharing among the users of Olio di Balena
• raise knowledge of a useful tool created by Leofinance for Hive communities: the Community Threads
  In fact, Leofinance's new UI is no longer a front-end for a single community but is a front-end for posting and interacting on all Hive communities such as Peakd and Ecency.

Mini Contest Topic

For this week I thought of a very simple theme:

Share a photo of the pc workstation or digital tool you use to post on Hive and write what you would like to replace or add.

Important Note: In your photo, on the screen of your tool/pc, there must be the main page of the Olio di Balena community.

• Start: 14 settembre 2023

• End: ore 23:59 del 17 settembre 2023

Mini Contest Rules

• Rule 1: You must create a Thread within the Olio di Balena community (a thred with tag #oliodibalena).

• Rule 2: In the thread you must share a photo of the pc workstation or digital tool you use to post on Hive and write what you would like to replace or add.
  Important Note: In your photo, on the screen of your tool/pc, there must be the main page of the Olio di Balena community.

• Rule 3: In the thread you must include an image you created or a photo from your personal photo archive or a a photo/screenshot you took pertaining to the contest topic.
  You may not use photos or images not your own taken from the web.

• Rule 4: you can choose to write your thread in Italian language or English language or both.

• Rule 5: you must be a member of the Olio di Balena community.

• Mini Contest DEADLINE: the contest starts today and ends at 23:59 (Italian time) on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

Mini Contest Prizes

• The 5 Threads that generate the biggest interaction will receive 10 LEO = 1.50 HIVE

• 3 Threads will be chosen randomly and win 1 HBD each

• Your thread could also be voted by Leofinance

How to Create a Thread in Olio di Balena

(Step-by-step guide)

A Thread is a Twitter-style post created and stored on the Hive blockchain through the use of the Leofinance User Interface (UI)

A Community Thread is a thread posted within a Hive community and viewable within the Communities->"Community Name"->Threads section of the Leofinance UI.

Olio di Balena community threads can be created and viewed within the Threads section of the page: https://leofinance.io/communities/hive-146620
A thread is viewable in the Olio di Balena community if it contains the tag #oliodibalena

Creating a Community Thread is a very simple task and I will show you the steps to follow.

Step 1: Login to Leofinance.

• Step 1.1: You have to go to https://leofinance.io/ and then you have to click on Log in

• Step 1.2: On the next screen you have several log in options to choose from including:

  • LeoAuth: You have to enter your Hive username, your Posting Key and then you have to click on Log in.
    

  • Log in with Hive KeyChain: You have to enter your Hive username, then you have to click on Log in and then you have to click on Confirm within the Hive Keychain screen.
    

Step 2: Enter the Home Page of the Olio di Balena.

• Step 2.1: You need to click on Communities.
• Step 2.2: You must enter "Olio di Balena" or part of the name in the search field.
• Step 2.3: You must click on the box that contains the logo and name of Olio di Balena

• Alternative Step 2: you need to go directly to the link: https://leofinance.io/communities/hive-146620

Step 3: Create and post the Mini Contest Participation Thread.

• Step 3.1: Within the Home Page of Olio di Balena you need to click on Threads
• Step 3.2: Then you need to enter the text of your thread in the box that contains the #whaleoil tag
• Step 3.3: Then you need to click on Thread in the bottom right corner.

Operation completed! Easy right? ;)

Now all you have to do is participate in this nice mini contest ;)

Advice: If the text of your thread exceeds the maximum capacity of a single thread you can also write a threadstorm.
In this case only in the first thread you have to insert:

• the tag oliodibalena
• the tag threadstorm
• the 1/x indication where x is the number of threads your threadstorm contains.

All other threads after the first one you must enter them as comments to your first thread indicating for each thread the number of the tread such as 2/5, 3/5, ... 5/5

Participants and Winners of the Third Edition of the Mini Contest (September 8-11, 2023)

In the previous mini-contest there were only 3 participants who won all the prizes up for grabs.

This mini-contest has a 50 LEO prize provided da Leofinance and a 3 HBD prize provided by the Olio di Balena community.

With only three participants in the previous mini-contest there were 20 LEOs left over which added to last weekend's prize pool which was 70 LEOs for the participants who obtained the most comments on their threads.

Olio di Balena is a small but very active community and I was convinced that last weekend the participations would increase and I was happy today because I counted 8 participants and 10 threads.

Let's take a quick look at all the participants and their threads.

The theme of the third mini contest was:
What is your favorite activity to do on the Hive blockchain? And why?

The first participant was @pousinha who shared her passion for farming games on Hive which are dCrops (which I also play) and Heart Flower.

The second participant was for the second time in a row @mad-runner who shared his enduring passion for Splinterlands in this thread.

Dear mad-runner we share the same passion for Splinterlands and I hope your dream will come true ;)

The third participant in chronological order was @ar7icwolf.
ar7icwolf in his nice threadstorm shared 2 aspects he loves about Hive:

• the possibility to interact and confornt each other and also help each other with other hivers
• the possibility of having fun and at the same time having the opportunity to earn rewards.

The fourth participant in chronological order was @incublus in his first contest entry.
incublus chose as his favorite activity on Hive reading travel posts published on Pinmapple, which in addition to being a beautiful Hive community is also an app that geolocates the location of travel posts published on Hive.

The fifth participant was @sissim72 who quickly and single-handedly solved some technical problems (good sissim you are good and by no means a Boomer as you wrote ;)
Sissim72 shared her appreciation for hive and the Olio di Balena community calling this combination a mix of creation, engagement, friendship, trust, discovery, knowledge, and comparison. sissim72's favorite activity is precisely the curation of content posted on hive.

The sixth participant was @mikezillo in his third consecutive participation.
@mikezillo's favorite activity is interacting and comparing with other Hivers around the world.

Ciao amici di Olio di Balena!

Oggi sono felice di presentarvi la quarta edizione del mini contest nato dalla collaborazione tra la comunità di Olio di Balena e Leofinance che ha un duplice obiettivo:

• creare un momento di interazione e condivisione tra gli utenti di Olio di Balena
• far conoscere un utile strumento creato da Leofinance per le comunità di Hive: i Community Threads
  Infatti la nuova UI di Leofinance non è più un front-end di una singola comunità ma è un front-end per pubblicare e interagire su tutte le comunità di Hive come Peakd ed Ecency.

Mini Contest Topic

Per questa settimana ho pensato ad un tema molto semplice:

Condividi la foto della postazione pc o dello strumento digitale che usi per pubblicare su Hive e scrivi cosa ti piacerebbe sostituire o aggiungere.

Mini Contest Rules

• Regola 1: Devi creare un Thread all'interno della comunità di Olio di Balena

• Regola 2: Nel thread devi condividere la foto della postazione pc o dello strumento digitale che usi per pubblicare su Hive e scrivi cosa ti piacerebbe sostituire o aggiungere.
  Nota Importante: nella tua foto, sullo schermo dello strumento, ci deve essere la pagina principale della comunità di Olio di Balena.

• Regola 3: Nel thread devi inserire una tua immagine o una foto presa dal tuo archivio fotografico personale o una foto/screenshot che hai scattato tu inerente al'argomento del contest.

Alternativa: Puoi anche non utilizzare immagini ma in questo caso devi creare un threadstorm equivalente a tre threads.

• Regola 4: puoi scegliere di scrivere il tuo thread in lingua italiana o in lingua inglese o in entrambe le lingue.

• Regola 5: devi essere iscritto alla comunità di Olio di Balena.

• Mini Contest Deadline: il contest inizia oggi 14 settembre 2023 e termina alle ore 23:59 (ora italiana) di domenica 17 settembre 2023.

Come Creare un thread nella comunità di Olio di Balena

(Guida passo passo)

Un Thread è un post Twitter-style creato e memorizzato sulla blockchain di Hive tramite l'utilizzo della Leofinance User Interface (UI)

Un Community Thread è un thread pubblicato all'interno di una comunità di Hive e visualizzabile all'interno della sezione Communities->"Nome Comunità"->Threads della Leofinance UI.

I Community threads della comunità di Olio di Balena possono essere creati e visualizzati nella sezione Threads della pagina: https://leofinance.io/communities/hive-146620
Un thread è visualizzabile nella comunità di Olio di Balena se contiene il tag #oliodibalena

Creare un Community Thread è un'operazione molto semplice e ti mostro i passi da seguire.

Passo 1: Login su Leofinance

• Passo 1.1: Devi andare su https://leofinance.io/ e poi devi cliccare su Log in

• Passo 1.2: Nella schermata successiva hai diverse opzioni di log in tra cui scegliere tra cui:
  • LeoAuth: Devi inserire il tuo Hive username, la tua Posting Key e poi devi cliccare su Log in.
    
  • Log in con Hive KeyChain: Devi inserire il tuo Hive username, poi devi cliccare su Log in e poi devi cliccare su Confirm all'interno della schermata di Hive Keychain.

Passo 2: Entrare nella Home Page della comunità di Olio di Balena

• Passo 2.1: Devi cliccare su Communities
• Passo 2.2: Devi inserire nel campo di ricerca "Olio di Balena" o parte del nome.
• Passo 2.3: Devi cliccare sul riquadro che contiene il logo e il nome di Olio di Balena

• Passo 2 alternativo: devi andare direttamente al link: https://leofinance.io/communities/hive-146620

Passo 3: Creare e pubblicare il Thread di partecipazione al mini contest.

• Passo 3.1: All'interno della Home Page di Olio di Balena devi cliccare su Threads
• Passo 3.2: Poi devi inserire il testo del tuo thread nel riquadro che contiene il tag #oliodibalena
• Passo 3.3: Poi devi cliccare su Thread in basso a destra.

Operazione completata! Facile vero? ;)

Adesso non devi fare altro che partecipare a questo bel mini contest ;)

Consiglio: Se il testo del tuo thread è superiore alla capienza massima di un singolo thread puoi anche scrivere un threadstorm.
In questo caso solo nel primo thread devi inserire:

• il tag oliodibalena
• il tag threadstorm
• l'indicazione 1/x dove x è il numero dei threads che contiene il tuo threadstorm.

Vincitori della Terza Edizione del Mini Contest (8-11 settembre 2023)

Nella precedente edizione del mini-contest ci sono stati solo 3 partecipanti che hanno vinto tutti i premi in palio.

Questo mini contest ha un premio di 50 LEO e un premio di 3 HBD messo a disposizione dalla comunità di Olio di Balena.

Con soli tre partecipanti al precedente mini-contest sono avanzati 20 LEO che si sono aggiunti al montepremi del week end scorso che era di 70 LEO per i partecipanti che hanno ottenuto il maggior numero di commenti sui loro threads.

Olio di Balena è una comunità piccola ma molto attiva ed ero convinto che nel week-end scorso le partecipazioni sarebbero aumentate e sono stato contento oggi perchè ho contato 8 partecipanti e 10 threads.

Vediamo subito tutti i partecipanti e i loro threads.

Il tema del terzo mini contest era:
Qual'è l'attività che ti piace fare di più sulla blockchain di Hive? E perchè?

Il primo partecipante è stata @pousinha che ha condiviso la sua passione per i giochi di farming presenti su Hive che sono dCrops (a cui gioco anche io) e Heart Flower.

Il terzo partecipante in ordine cronologico è stato @ar7icwolf.
ar7icwolf nel suo bel threadstorm ha condiviso 2 aspetti che ama di Hive:

• la possibilità di interagire e conforntarsi e anche aiutarsi con gli altri hivers
• la possibilità di divertirsi e allo stesso tempo di avere la possibilità di guadagnare ricompense.

Il quarto partecipante in ordine cronologico è stato @incublus alla sua prima partecipazione al contest.
incublus ha scelto come attività preferita su Hive la lettura dei post di viaggio pubblicati su Pinmapple che oltre ad essere una bella comunità di Hive è anche un'applicazione che geolocalizza il luogo dei post di viaggio pubblicati su Hive.

Il quinto partecipante è stata @sissim72 che ha risolto velocemente e da sola alcuni problemi tecnici (brava sissim sei brava e non sei assolutamente una Boomer come hai scritto tu ;)
Sissim72 ha condiviso il suo apprezzamento per hive e per la comunità di Olio di balena definendo questa combinazione un mix di creazione, impegno, amicizia, fiducia, scoperta, conoscenza, confronto. L'attività preferita da sissim72 è proprio la curation dei contenuti pubblicati su Hive.

Brava sissim72 e il tuo primo thread mi è piaciuto molto.
