Hello friends and members of Olio di Balena community!

Today is Thursday, November 23 and another weekend is near.
From the time Inleo proposed me to organize a contest for the Olio di Balena community, 13 weeks have passed and today I publish the new weekly theme to participate in the fourteenth edition of the mini contest born from the collaboration between the Olio di Balena community and InLeo.

As always, the Olio di Balena - Inleo mini contest has a double goal:

• create a moment of interaction and sharing among the users of Olio di Balena
• raise knowledge of a useful tool created by Inleo for Hive communities: the Community Threads
  In fact:
• the Inleo UI is a front-end that can be used to interact and post on all Hive communities such as Peakd and Ecency.
• the #inleo tag can be used for posts on any topic but obviously the posts must have a minimum of quality.

Mini Contest Topic

After two consecutive weeks in which I proposed a Hive-related topic today I decided to propose a more generalist topic so that everyone can participate very easily.

For this week you need to create a thread within the Odb community and answer the question:

What is the most beautiful place you have visited? What impressed you the most?

Important note: Enter a photo pertaining to the contest topic. The photo must be your own, it can be a photo you have already posted/in your archive but you cannot use a photo from the web even if it is copyright free and you cannot use AI generated photos.

Mini Contest Deadline

• Start: November 23, 2023

• End: November 26, 2023 - 11:59 p.m.

Mini Contest Rules

• Rule 1: You must create a Thread within the Olio di Balena community (= a thread with tag #oliodibalena).

• Rule 2: In your thread you must answer the question:
  What is the most beautiful place you have visited? What impressed you the most?

Important note: Enter a photo pertaining to the contest topic. The photo must be your own, it can be a photo you have already posted/in your archive but you cannot use a photo from the web even if it is copyright free and you cannot use AI generated photos.

• Rule 3: In the thread you must include an image of your own or a photo taken from your personal photo archive or a photo/screenshot you took pertaining to the contest topic.

• Rule 4: you can choose to write your thread in Italian language or English language or both.

• Rule 5: you must be a member of the Olio di Balena community.

• Mini Contest DEADLINE: the contest starts today, November 23, 2023 and ends at 11:59 p.m. (Italian time) on Sunday, November 26, 2023.

How to Create a Thread in Olio di Balena

(Step-by-step guide)

A Thread is a Twitter-style post created and stored on the Hive blockchain through the use of the Inleo User Interface (UI)

A Community Thread is a thread posted within a Hive community and viewable within the Communities->"Community Name"->Threads section of the Inleo UI.

Olio di Balena community threads can be created and viewed within the Threads section of the page: https://inleo.io/communities/hive-146620
A thread is viewable in the Olio di Balena community if it contains the tag #oliodibalena

Creating a Community Thread is a very simple task and I will show you the steps to follow.

Note: The rebrand of Leofinance to Inleo happened happened relatively recently and I didn't have time to update the guide that keeps the screenshots of Leofinance but the steps given in my guide are the same to follow on Inleo as well.
In the next mini-contest I hope to be able to also update the screenshots in my guide that will show the new interface ;)

Step 1: Login to Inleo.

• Step 1.1: You have to go to https://inleo.io/ and then you have to click on Log in

• Step 1.2: On the next screen you have several log in options to choose from including:

• LeoAuth: You have to enter your Hive username, your Posting Key and then you have to click on Log in.
  

• Log in with Hive KeyChain: You have to enter your Hive username, then you have to click on Log in and then you have to click on Confirm within the Hive Keychain screen.
  

Step 2: Enter the Home Page of the Olio di Balena.

• Step 2.1: You need to click on Communities.
• Step 2.2: You must enter "Olio di Balena" or part of the name in the search field.
• Step 2.3: You must click on the box that contains the logo and name of Olio di Balena

• Alternative Step 2: you need to go directly to the link: https://inleo.io/communities/hive-146620

Step 3: Create and post the Mini Contest Participation Thread.

• Step 3.1: Within the Home Page of Olio di Balena you need to click on Threads
• Step 3.2: Then you need to enter the text of your thread in the box that contains the #oliodibalena tag
• Step 3.3: Then you need to click on Thread in the bottom right corner.

Operation completed! Easy right? ;)

Now all you have to do is participate in this nice mini contest ;)

Advice: If the text of your thread exceeds the maximum capacity of a single thread you can also write a threadstorm.
In this case only in the first thread you have to insert:

• the tag oliodibalena
• the tag threadstorm
• the 1/x indication where x is the number of threads your threadstorm contains.

All other threads after the first one you must enter them as comments to your first thread indicating for each thread the number of the tread such as 2/5, 3/5, ... 5/5

In the following image you can see the threadstorm (consisting of 1 thread + 3 comments to my thread) that I created for the Odb-Inleo contest a few weeks ago.

The Participants and the Announcement of the Winners of the Twelfth Edition of the Mini Contest (November 16 - November 19, 2023)

In the mini contest that ended on November 12, there were 9 entries.
In the mini contest ended last weekend (Nov. 19, 2023) there were 6 participations.

3 fewer participations than in the previous contest and 11 fewer participations than in the contest that ended on October 22, 2023, which is to date the mini contest with the record number of participations (17 participations).

Let's find out together the Olio di Balena thread that published the 6 participants in the mini contest that started on November 16, 2023 and ended on November 19, 2023.

Participants in the 13th Odb-Inleo mini contest had to answer the question that you can read in the screenshot below.

I repeated the same question for two consecutive mini-contests because it is an important question because it allows participants to have a chance to solve a difficulty.

The first participant was @duvinca who shared her difficulty in using Hive games but also took an important first step by asking friends for help and took my advice I gave her in the previous contest and asked about Discord and got useful answers.

The second participant was @pousinha who shared her difficulty in using and receiving the ecency boost on her posts.

The third participant was @peniel2010 who shared his difficulty in using the add account feature of Hive KeyChain to manage more than 1 account.

Hive Keychain is one of the most useful and secure tools for accessing Hive, and one of the guides I have read in the past is the one in the support section of Splinterlands: Hive Keychain Installation and Usage

The fourth participant was @amiegeoffrey who shared his difficulty in understanding how reward.app works.

I know that reward.app allows you to make post rewards liquid before the duration of 7 days but I have never used this service also because it does not properly distribute the rewards of some second level tokens such as LEO tokens.

I hope some user who uses or has used this service can answer you better but I having never used this service cannot help you.

The fourth participant was @li-lou who shared her difficulty in depositing euros on tribaldex.

I looked at the deposit options but the option you are looking for is not present because on TribalDex you can only deposit cryptocurrencies and so if you want to deposit on TribalDex you first have to convert euros with one of the cryptocurrencies accepted by TribalDex as a deposit method.

The sixth and final participant was @mikezillo who shared his difficulty with Hive Onboard because it does not recognize his refferals rewards.

Unfortunately, I can't help you because even though I have published many posts outside of Hive to promote Hive I almost never use my refferal link and so I don't have refferals even though several people have signed up on my advice.

Da quando Inleo mi ha proposto di organizzare un contest per la comunità di Olio di Balena sono passate 13 settimane e oggi pubblico il nuovo tema settimanale per partecipare alla quattordicesima edizione del mini contest nato dalla collaborazione tra la comunità di Olio di Balena e InLeo.
Il mini contest Olio di Balena - Inleo ha come sempre un duplice obiettivo:

• creare un momento di interazione e condivisione tra gli utenti di Olio di Balena
• far conoscere un utile strumento creato da InLeo per le comunità di Hive: i Community Threads
  Infatti:
• la UI di Inleo è un front-end utilizzabile per interagire e pubblicare su tutte le comunità di Hive come ad esempio Peakd ed Ecency.
• il tag #inleo può essere utilizzato per i post di qualsiasi argomento a patto che si garantisca un minimo livello di qualità.

Un Thread è un post Twitter-style creato e memorizzato sulla blockchain di Hive tramite l'utilizzo della Inleo User Interface (UI)

Un Community Thread è un thread pubblicato all'interno di una comunità di Hive e visualizzabile all'interno della sezione Communities->"Nome Comunità"->Threads della Inleo UI.

Nota Importante: Un thread è visualizzabile nella comunità di Olio di Balena se contiene il tag #oliodibalena

Creare un Community Thread è un'operazione molto semplice e ti mostro i passi da seguire.

Note: Il rebrand di Leofinance in Inleo è avvenuto da poco tempo e non ho avuto ancora il tempo di aggiornare la guida in questo post che mantiene le schermate di Leofinance ma i passi indicati nella mia guida sono gli stessi da seguire anche su Inleo.

Passo 1: Login su InLeo

• Passo 1.1: Devi andare su https://inleo.io/ e poi devi cliccare su Log in

• Passo 1.2: Nella schermata successiva hai diverse opzioni di log in tra cui scegliere tra cui:
• LeoAuth: Devi inserire il tuo Hive username, la tua Posting Key e poi devi cliccare su Log in.
  
• Log in con Hive KeyChain: Devi inserire il tuo Hive username, poi devi cliccare su Log in e poi devi cliccare su Confirm all'interno della schermata di Hive Keychain.

Passo 2: Entrare nella Home Page della comunità di Olio di Balena

• Passo 2.1: Devi cliccare su Communities
• Passo 2.2: Devi inserire nel campo di ricerca "Olio di Balena" o parte del nome.
• Passo 2.3: Devi cliccare sul riquadro che contiene il logo e il nome di Olio di Balena

• Passo 2 alternativo: devi andare direttamente al link: https://inleo.io/communities/hive-146620

Passo 3: Creare e pubblicare il Thread di partecipazione al mini contest.

• Passo 3.1: All'interno della Home Page di Olio di Balena devi cliccare su Threads
• Passo 3.2: Poi devi inserire il testo del tuo thread nel riquadro che contiene il tag #oliodibalena
• Passo 3.3: Poi devi cliccare su Thread in basso a destra.

Operazione completata! Facile vero? ;)

Adesso non devi fare altro che partecipare a questo bel mini contest ;)

Consiglio: Se il testo del tuo thread è superiore alla capienza massima di un singolo thread puoi anche scrivere un threadstorm.
In questo caso solo nel primo thread devi inserire due tag:

I Partecipanti e l'Annuncio dei Vincitori della Dodicesima Edizione del Mini Contest (16 novembre - 19 novembre 2023)

Nel mini contest terminato il 12 novembre ci sono state 9 partecipazioni.
Nel mini contest terminato nel week-end scorso (19 novembre 2023) ci sono state 6 partecipazioni.

3 partecipazioni in meno rispetto al contest precedente e 11 partecipazioni in meno rispetto al contest terminato il 22 ottobre 2023 che è fino ad oggi il mini contest con il record di partecipazioni (17 partecipazioni).

Ho riproposto la stessa domanda per due mini-contest consecutivi perchè è una domanda importante perchè permette ai partecipanti di avere una possibilità di risolvere una difficoltà.

Il terzo partecipante è stato @peniel2010 che ha condiviso la sua difficoltà nell'utilizzare la funzionalità add account di Hive KeyChain per gestire più di 1 account.

La quarta partecipante è stata @amiegeoffrey che ha condiviso la sua difficoltà nel capire il funzionamento di reward.app.

So che reward.app permette di rendere liquide le ricompense dei post prima della durata di 7 giorni ma non ho mai utilizzato questo servizio anche perchè non distribuisce correttamente le ricompense di alcuni token di secondo livello come ad esempio i token LEO.

Spero che qualche utente che utilizza o ha utilizzato questo servizio possa risponderti meglio ma io non avendo mai utilizzato questo servizio non posso aiutarti.

La quarta partecipante è stata @li-lou che ha condiviso la sua difficoltà nel depositare euro su tribaldex.

Ho guardato le opzioni di deposito ma non è presente l'opzione che cerchi tu perchè su TribalDex è possibile solo depositare crittovalute e quindi se vuoi depositare su TribalDex devi prima convertire gli euro con una delle crittovalute accettate da TribalDex come metodo di deposito.

Il sesto e ultimo partecipante è stato @mikezillo che ha condiviso la sua difficoltà con Hive Onboard perchè non gli riconosce le ricompense per i refferals.

Purtroppo non posso esserti d'aiuto perchè non ho quasi mai utilizzato il mio refferal link nei post che ho pubblicato al di fuori di Hive per promuovere Hive e quindi non ho refferals anche se diverse persone si sono iscritte su mio consiglio.

Per i 3 HBD offerti dalla comunità di Olio di Balena è importante il fattore fortuna perchè il meccanismo di assegnazione dei premi è l'estrazione.
