Contest Entry for Show Me A Shadow - [Nº 324] An evening of exploration and work

Good morning to all the shadowhunter friends of the beautiful Shadow Hunters community, I hope you are feeling wonderful. I, who sometimes don't get to participate, am always thinking about where I see the extent of my body or things, to share it, even if I then take my time. Today I bring you my entry to round No. 324 and I hope you like it.

Buen día a todos los amigos cazadores de sombras de la bella comunidad Shadow Hunters, espero que se encuentren de maravillas. Yo, que a veces no llego a participar, siempre estoy pensando en donde veo la extensión de mi cuerpo o de las cosas, para compartirla, aunque luego me tome mi tiempo. Hoy les traigo mi entrada a la ronda Nº 324 y espero que les guste.

First, to tell you that these photos were taken one day, that I stayed up late at night, assembling the balls of my new wools, which are the working material of all my days and I couldn't help but go crazy with one of them. It's like a law, when I buy several skeins, one is always harder to unwind than the others, and in this case, it was the green one. What a way to suffer and curse the yarns. But the good thing is that I armed myself with patience, and with a cup of tea, late at night, I put my hands and my patience to slowly cook this ball of yarn.

Primero, contarles que estas fotos fueron tomadas un día, que me quedé hasta muy tarde por la noche, armando los ovillos de mis nuevas lanas, que son el material de trabajo de todos mis días y no pude evitar volverme loca con uno de ellos. Es como una ley, cuando compro varias madejas, una siempre es más difícil de desenrollar que las demás, y en este caso, fue la verde. Qué manera de sufrir y maldecir a los hilos. Pero lo bueno es que me armé de paciencia, y con un té, entrada la noche, puse mis manos y mi paciencia a cocinar despacio este ovillo.

In the dark of the night, there wasn't much life left but me, and the occasional passerby heard on the street. When I'm not inspired, I take my time to focus on the various activities and responsibilities I carry out. I end up victorious with the green thread and just as I turn to turn everything off and proceed to sleep. Beauty is drawn before me, definitely this light makes a great reflection of shadows on the wall. I never investigated shadows technically, where does the light come from, where does it go, how far does the shadow travel, does it get better with distance? I'll probably look into it soon.

En la oscuridad de la noche, no quedaba mucha más vida que yo, y algún transeúnte que se oye en la calle. Cuando no estoy inspirada, me tomo mi tiempo para enfocarme en las distintas actividades y responsabilidades que llevo adelante. Termino vencedora con el hilo verde y justo cuando me volteo a apagar todo y proceder a dormir. La belleza se dibuja ante mí, definitivamente esta luz hace un gran reflejo de sombras en la pared. Nunca investigué las sombras técnicamente. ¿De dónde viene la luz? ¿Hacia dónde va? ¿Cuánto trayecto recorre la sombra? ¿Mejora con la distancia? Seguramente lo investigue pronto.

Not being very clear on this concept, and understanding that the distance is short, my silhouette is drawn before me (with great clarity on the only smooth wall). Not content with this, I put on the galley, at least I will make a silhouette that draws something that brings me joy, a shadow as a self-portrait when I can hardly distinguish if I can take a nice picture, becomes the challenge.

No estando muy clara en este concepto, y entendiendo que la distancia es corta, se dibuja fidedigno ante mi (con gran nitidez sobre la única pared lisa) mi silueta. No contenta con esto, me pongo la galera, al menos haré una silueta que dibuje algo que me trae alegría, una sombra como autorretrato cuando casi no logro distinguir si puedo tomar una fotografía bonita, se vuelve el desafío.

So I took advantage of the discovery to explore also with crochet needles. Although the first photo is the one that participates in the contest of the week, I leave you several, as always, of exploration and discovery, and I have a thought in my mind that tells me that in the future I may share with you a photo shoot of my knitting and its shadows, we will see what the knitted dolls project on the wall

Todo este periplo, no sin antes, saber que contaría esta historia, y que los ovillos fueron los protagonistas de la noche, aunque sus siluetas no se dibujan como quisiera. Por eso aproveché el descubrimiento para explorar también con agujas de crochet. Si bien la primera foto es la que participa en el concurso de la semana, les dejo varias, como siempre, de exploración y descubrimiento, y tengo un pensamiento en mi mente que me dice que en el futuro quizás les comparta una sesión de fotos de mis tejidos y sus sombras, veremos qué proyectan los muñecos tejidos sobre la pared.
