[Contest Entry] Show me a Shadow 313 - Sombra en Parque Centenario [ENG-ESP]

Good morning friends, I hope you are feeling wonderful, in Buenos Aires the sun is out and it is a good morning. Around here I am always thinking of sharing shadows, as I am excited to tell you the adventures and show you the discovery. In this case it is of a day I went to Centenario Park, a little walk, mates, meditation, sunny afternoon and being a weekday, quite empty, I found at a certain moment a free bench at the edge of the lake.

I stayed contemplating the reflection, the ducks, a lady feeding them and absorbing some natural vitamin D, I was delighted with this afternoon and to take a moment for myself, but after 15 minutes the sun began to blind me and when I turned around I noticed my shadow reflected sitting on the bench, all over the cobblestones of the park. I took a moment, thinking and wanting to take the picture, I thought if it wouldn't be better to stand up and walk, just at that moment, I take my cell phone and I get ready to take the picture. Then I notice someone talking to me, the picture had already been taken, so we are both in the shade of the park.

Overwhelmed by the occurrence, it could not have been more timely, the girl comes to chat about her difficult condition and to sell socks and other items to bring a plate of food to her children, to her home. I was sorry I couldn't help her, but we stayed and chatted, I shared some mates and wished her good luck. Since it was a weekday, I was not going to have as many opportunities as on weekends, many more crowds milling around.

But my humble way of remembering this moment, of never forgetting to be kind and to have her also reflected with me gave me the idea of being able to share here, as I was, the shadow of the moment. I also want to be honest, I thought about letting this picture go and sharing others, but I still find it a great detail to have gone through this experience when I thought you would like it, I ended up convincing myself that I love it, that having something to tell and show, I love it. And this story certainly changed my day and the ride.

Buen día amigos, espero que se encuentren maravillosamente, en Buenos Aires salió el sol y es una buena mañana. Por aquí siempre estoy pensando en compartir sombras, ya que me entusiasma contarles las andanzas y mostrarles el descubrimiento. En este caso es de un día que fui al parque Centenario, un poco de paseo, de mates, de meditación, de tarde de sol y siendo día de semana, bastante vacío, encontré en determinado momento un banquito libre al borde del lago.

Me quedé contemplando el reflejo, los patos, una señora que los alimentaba y absorbiendo un poco de vitamina D natural, estaba encantada de esta tarde y de tomarme un momento para mi, pero pasados los 15 minutos el sol empezó a enceguecer y cuando volteo noto mi sombra reflejada sentada en el banquito, sobre todo el empedrado del parque. Me tomé un momento, pensando y queriendo tomar la foto, pensé si no sería mejor pararme y caminar, justo en ese momento, tomo el móvil y me dispongo a hacer la foto. Entonces noto que alguien me habla, la foto ya había sido tomada, así que ambas estamos en la sombra del parque.

Anonadada por la ocurrencia, no podría haber sido más oportuno, la chica se acerca a charlar sobre su condición difícil y a vender medias y otros objetos para llevar un plato de comida a sus hijos, a su hogar. Me apena no poder ayudarla, pero nos quedamos charlando, le compartí unos mates y le deseé mucha suerte. Como era día de semana no iba a tener oportunidades de sobra como las hay en fin de semana, muchas más multitudes dando vueltas.

Pero mi humilde manera de recordar este momento, de no olvidar nunca ser amable y de tenerla también reflejada conmigo me dio la idea de poder compartir aquí, así como estaba, la sombra del momento. También quiero ser honesta, pensé en dejar pasar esta fotografía y compartir otras, pero me sigue resultando un gran detalle haber pasado por esta experiencia cuando yo pensaba que a ustedes les gustaría, terminé por convencerme de que a mi me encanta, que tener algo para contar y mostrar, me encanta. Y esta historia, ciertamente cambió mi día y el paseo.
