A Journey in My Room Design

Earlier, I thought of opening the old cloud drive that I used to store pictures. I put my pictures and other things there for memories.

While browsing through the old pictures, I found this one—my LV-themed room from 10 years ago. Of course, it was fake LV because they don't have such products, and I couldn't afford them even if they did.

The story behind this is that I used to be an Apparel Designer for a company, designing pants, t-shirts, and more for men, kids, and women.

Because of this job, I was often at the fabric market. One time, while sourcing new fabric for development, I saw these LV printed fabrics in different colors and patterns.

Then I thought of creating an LV-inspired room, bedsheets, pillowcases, blankets, and other LV-designed items for personal use.

I didn't intend for others to see my room as classy because obviously, the materials aren't authentic. I was just happy that they could be used as a theme or concept design since they have different patterns and colors.

Of course, I also combined it with other solid color fabrics to make it look better.

I didn't sew the blankets, pillowcases, and curtains myself, I just measured and instructed on how to sew them. But I did make the ottoman chair and other items like the desk myself.

I had a friend who liked my bed sheet set and requested that I make one for them too. To make them even happier, I also made a bag for them.

As of now, I no longer have those blankets because, naturally, they wore out, got damaged, and were eventually thrown away.

I loved designing rooms when I was single because I wanted my room to be pleasing to my eyes since a beautiful room is really enjoyable.

After that LV-inspired concept, I changed my room design to this- I printed a skyline city view and attached it to my window. I also put a light outside the window to give it an effect at night. I bought some wall decals and designed my room. I even put a backlight in the place where I hang my guitar.

I changed the concept of my room several times. Now that I have a partner again and we're living together, the decision for the room concept is no longer just mine. So, our new room is now black and pink. Haha!
