Social Media Challenge | Low mana cap battle with huge luck! 🤞

Overview

Today I brought a Wild battle, where I will try to beat a very strong Summoner from the old times and he is also one of my favorite from that Splinter as well. 😆

My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

RulesetDescription
What Doesn't Kill YouAll Monsters have the Enrage ability.
EqualizerThe initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.

The mana cap for my next battle is 23, which is not much to pick huge mana cost monsters, so it will be important to build a proper lineup using low mana cost monsters. Luckily the Equalizer ruleset will increase the health of all the enemy monsters to the same that the highest health monsters has, so it was much easier to pick my lineup. 😊

The What Doesn't Kill You ruleset gives the Enrage ability to all of the monsters on hte battlefield, which means that their melee attack and speed will be increased by 50%, but only when they are damaged. If they get back to full health after getting a Heal they will lost that bonus. 😋

My lineup

image.png
Franz Ruffmane would give +1 armor to all of his monsters and would be able to use one additional Gladiator monster in his battle, whom are amongst the best monsters in the game, because of their Bloodlust ability. 😁
The Gargoya Scrapper will be my tank for this battle, because he has the Void ability, which will halves all the incoming magic attacks. This will allow him to sustain a huge amount of damage, but only in case my opponent bringing a full magic attack team. 💪

I used the Venari Marksrat, because he has the Martyr ability, which means that he will increase all the stats of the monster behind him by one. He is also a budget monster, so quite cheap and able to damage one ranged attack on his enemies. 🤗
Helmet Kharafax doesn't have any kind of attack on its own, that is why he has such a good passive abilities, but with the power of Aves he would be able to attack and try to take advantage of his Bloodlust ability, which means if he kills his target he will increase all of his stat by one. 😌

Aves Sturges doesn't have too much stats apart from his +2 magic attack, but he has the Weapon Trainings ability, which will give his own magic attack to his adjacent non-attack monsters making them damage dealers, which is amazing. 😋
I used the Chaos Agent just after my Aves, because he doesn't have any attack, so he will get two magic attack from him, which is amazing. His other advantage is that he is quick and only cost one mana. 😎

The Venari Crystalsmith is one of the best low budget monster in the Life Splinter, because she is able to deal +2 ranged damage to her target and on top of that she wil be able to Heal the monster in the first position. 😊

My opponent brought Alric Stormbringer, who is a Water Summoner and he is quite poweful, because he will increase the magic damage by one to all of his monsters, which is the strongest attack type in the game. 😉

In the first round not much happened, because both of our monsters had a lot of health thanks to the Equalizer ruleset and both of our teams had monsters who will Heal their tanks.

Just before the second round finished my monsters managed to take out their tank and it took another two full round to take out their next target, which was the Chaos Agent.

The battle started to be quite difficult from now on, because both of our team had a tank who had the Void ability, which is halves all the incoming magic damage effectively. That is why I still had my tank in my first position.

Not much happened for another two round until the Blast damage on one of the enemy monster indirectly killed my Venari Marksrat, but even though I lost him he was quite beneficial to the monsters next to him.

Their Djinn Oshannus was quite powerful and the Enrage also helped him a lot, but in the eight round all of my monsters managed to hit him and their damage was enough to kill him.

As soon as he died the battle was already over, because without a monster with the Void ability it is very difficult to withstand the incoming magic attacks. 😇

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to try to build a good team against magic and luckily that worked really well. Killing their Djinn Oshannus was a huge feat, because if one of my monster miss an attack that monster will quickly recover its health using their Healer in their team. 😊
