Balancing Indoor And Outdoor Life
Seeing the prompt topic indoor or outdoor so many ideas raced through my mind and to answer this I'll be centering on ** lifestyle, games, activities **.
Games
To answer this, I will start with games right from my childhood days. Then I was an outdoor game's freak, lol, I'm sure most of you were too, that's what comes from being a child.
We had a very large space at the front of our house then and that became our playground. There was no type of games that we didn't play there - you know all those childhood games - skipping, back and front tumble, hula hoop, tug of war, climbing of trees, pat-a-cake, suwe, mancala, cooking, football and the rest, I was involved in all.
I and other children will take turns to suggest a game or two for the day and everyone will participate.
Sometimes we split - girls on their own, boys to theirs depending on the type of game.
There were also trees planted around the place - guava, cashew, pear, mango, orange, so they also became our game zones especially for jumps, or when we're acting action films and hide and seek games, lol
Even some indoor games such as - ludo, card games like Whot, even Okoso (an object made with the cover of a Bic pen and the plastic lid of a big size tiger battery is rolled and allowed to spin), we will still bring them outside to play. For us every game is outdoor.
As children we had the time, energy and vibe to engage in all these games and we did enjoy them. It was always fun, excitement all the way, and sometimes, fights too especially from those who were defeated or felt cheated in the games. Once the fight starts, it is game over for me and I run straight to my house because I can't deal, lol.
But now as an adult, I'm so engaged with so many other things that I rarely have the time for games and if I really need to indoor games like - card games and ludo or any other exciting one come handy.
Occasionally, I still try some like swinging on a tree branch even though I no longer have the vibe and energy to involve in such energetic games, lol.
Lifestyle
If it's possible to hold a contest for people who love staying indoors, I will definitely be at top 5, lol. I just being by myself in the comfort of my home.
With my phone fully charged and internet, light plus food - very important, I can stay indoor for a whole day without as much as step out of the door. The only thing I can do is just look out through the window to enjoy the view of nature.
Staying indoor helps boost my physical and mental health so that I can function optimally, think, plan and execute tasks but you know it still have bad sides especially when it goes on for too long a time. It can be a bit boring and cause anxiety.
So when these feelings come I look for an outdoor go for a walk around my neighborhood. I live in a serene environment out of town so I do enjoy the beauty of nature on such walks. I get to see the birds flying and chirping, the squirrel jumping from one tree to the other, most importantly the fresh cool breeze is refreshing. I would have loved it more if we had a garden park around, that would have been my favorite spot
Taking a walk
Activity
When it comes to activities, I don't think I really have that much preference. I attend both- weddings, birthday parties, music shows, get together, fairs, and the rest. Whichever I attend I try to enjoy it the best way I can.
With friends at a wedding reception
But sometimes I just feel reluctant to engage in these activities, I guess that's when my introvert personality and urge to stay indoor come to play and mere mention of event tires me, other times I'm all out for the show, lol.
So I'm just like "a little to the left, a little to the right - and that's creating a balance.
Thank you for reading and I'll be glad to have you share your thoughts.
Still the #threadsaddict 😂

It seems you prefer to spend time in a company rather than alone! It's awesome :)
On the contrary I love being alone but you know that won't be possible when you have people family, friends colleagues at work place church too. 😉
