Ecency Star Writing Contest: Some Ways To Make Ecency Better.

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog again. I hope you all are doing great and that things are moving well. Even if they aren't going as planned now just don't give up, it will be better.

I must greatly commend Ecency star on bringing out this topic for all members to share their views on how to make Ecency better.

I got registered on Hive through Ecency DApp and after using the frontend for my first post, I fell in love with it because it was so user friendly and I resolved to always publish all my posts from there because of the speed of publishing.

Not only that, knowing that for whatever activity I do on the frontend like re-blogging, voting, referral and others will be rewarded with Ecency points is more than a good reason to stick with using Ecency frontend.

Just like nothing on earth is perfect and every DApp do have glitches and challenges, Ecency isn't left out.
Since late last year, there has been recurrent challenges with uploading images. Unlike before that images take few seconds to upload, these days, it can stay up to a minute to two and when it finally does upload, it will show blank, and with that it won't be wise to publish a post with blank images. So this issue of delay in image upload and blank images should be looked into and improved upon so users can continue enjoying the frontend.

Another way I think Ecency should do better is on the side of Waves. Although I am not a regular there but the few times I did, I found that there wasn't much activity there so I think there should be some form of marketing campaign to promote Waves more.

I don't know if this has been implemented before but I think Ecency can get into X formerly Twitter and probably hold a contest where participants are to share their posts about Ecency on X then tag Ecency, I believe it will help promote the platform and draw more traffic to it.

We are in the information era and information travels like wild fire. So whenever there's a plan to carry out maintenance or upgrade on the site, it will be a nice concept if prior information can be passed just like a message pop up on the frontend telling users of the upcoming maintenance that way they won't be caught unawares when the upgrade eventually starts.

I don't know if there is any other person who experiences this double notification from a particular action.

This constant double notifications makes the space crowded such that one may miss out on an important one. I suggest releasing just one notification per action.

These are just the few areas I can think of now that Ecency can look into to make it a better and more user friendly interface for us all.
Finally it behoves on all of us to join hands and do that which we can to make Ecency better.
