Shadow Hunters Community Contest SMASh - Round 320

A new week, and being at the beginning of a new month, the fifth of this year 2024, we come to a new round of the Shadow Hunters Community Photo Contest, this time, we arrive at the 320th edition of this weekly initiative.

As I have described before, I am constantly looking for shadows everywhere, in the apartment, in the street, in the park or even in the most unexpected places, however, in this opportunity I want to share a couple of photos taken recently during the celebration of last Easter.

In the central area of the city of Barquisimeto, in front of the National Building, seat of the local and regional courts of justice, and at a very short distance from the Plaza Bolivar and the Mayor's office; this street is paved with cobblestones, and in its upper part, exhibits a colorful arrangement of kites that add a great visual attraction for those who visit or pass through it, either in private vehicles or on foot, and that when bathed by sunlight, cast a geometric pattern as a shadow on the road.

As I have described in previous posts, I usually make use of the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed, with the aim of improving or highlighting some element of my images.

Una nueva semana, y estando en el inicio de un nuevo mes, el quinto de este año 2024, llegamos a una nueva ronda del Concurso Fotográfico de la Comunidad de Shadow Hunters, en esta ocasión, arribamos a la edición número 320 de esta iniciativa semanal.

Como he descrito anteriormente, constantemente estoy buscando sombras en todas partes, en el apartamento, en la calle, en el parque o incluso en los lugares más inesperados, sin embargo, en esta oportunidad quiero compartir un par de fotos tomadas recientemente durante la celebración de la pasada Semana Santa.

En el casco central de la ciudad de Barquisimeto, al frente del Edificio Nacional, sede de los tribunales de justicia locales y regionales, y a muy corta distancia de la Plaza Bolívar y de la Alcaldía; se encuentra esta calle pavimentada con adoquines, y que en su parte superior, exhibe un colorido arreglo de papagayos o cometas que le añaden un gran atractivo visual para quienes la visitan o transitan por allí, bien sea en vehículo particular o a pié, y que al ser bañados por la luz del sol, proyectan como sombra un patrón geométrico sobre la vía.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, usualmente hago uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed, con el objetivo de mejorar o destacar algún elemento de mis imágenes.
