I had been wanting to participate in this weekly challenge of the Feathered Friends Community for some time, but every time I try to photograph a bird I find on my way, it flees as soon as I get close, which is why I had not materialized this desire.

On this occasion, the theme of the contest is birds in art, in any of its expressions or formats, so I took a wood carving of a rooster with a height of about 33 cms, a little more than 12 inches, which was a gift to my wife many years ago, so many that today I do not remember.

I placed the rooster on a table that we usually use for breakfast, and proceeded to look for the best possible angle to photograph it, trying to make the image as sharp as possible, and the bird perfectly recognizable, to serve as my participation.

I usually make use of the editing tools offered in their free versions by the Picsart and Snapseed applications, with the aim of improving or highlighting some element of my images, without modifying their essence.

Tenía tiempo queriendo participar en este desafío semanal de la Comunidad Feathered Friends, sin embargo cada vez que trato de fotografiar alguna ave que encuentro en mi camino, esta sale huyendo apenas me acerco, razón por la cual no había materializado este deseo.

En esta ocasión, la temática del concurso son las aves en el arte, en cualquiera de sus expresiones o formatos, por lo que tomé una talla de madera de un gallo con una altura de unos 33 cms., un poco más de 12 pulgadas, que le fue obsequiado a mi esposa hace muchos años atrás, tantos que hoy en día no recuerdo.

Coloqué el gallo sobre una mesa que solemos usar para el desayuno, y procedí a buscar el mejor ángulo posible para fotografiarlo procurando que la imagen fuese lo más nítida, y el ave perfectamente reconocible, para que me sirviesen como participación.

Acostumbro hacer uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed, con el objetivo de mejorar o destacar algún elemento de mis imágenes, sin modificar su esencia.
