Dear crochet friends, on this occasion I am sharing with you a very striking project, it is a cup holder made in the shape and appearance of a papaya (lechoza) in crochet 🍊🧡 it is very pretty and I find it very useful.

Estimados amigos crocheteros en esta ocasión les estoy compartiendo un proyecto muy llamativo, se trata de un posa tazas elaborado con forma y apariencia de papaya (lechoza) en crochet 🍊🧡 es muy bonito y me parece de mucha utilidad.

Materials used: crochet threads in colors: deep orange, light beige, dark brown and green, number 4 crochet hook and scissors, stitches used: half-high stitches and single crochet stitches.

Materiales usados hilos de crochet en colores: naranja intenso, beige claro, marron oscuro y verde, aguja de crochet número 4 y tijeras, los puntos usados: puntos medios altos y puntos bajos.

We start with the brown thread by making 10 chain stitches and we form them in this way: 2 single crochets together, 2 half double crochets, 4 normal double crochets, 2 half double crochets and 2 single crochets together, turning the piece and doing the same points at the other end.

The next row we work in medium high stitch with the necessary increases to give it shape, we change the thread to the intense orange color and we work and make increases to try to give it the desired shape, this is how we work the first 2 rows.

In rows 3, 4 and 5, in the neck part of the fruit, we make some stitches, lengthening the shape so that it is not completely round. Again we change the thread to the light beige color. This time we position ourselves looking for the round contour, simulating which is placed on a plate, here we work 2 rows making an incomplete circumference and later with the green thread we make a stem and a leaf.

Comenzamos con el hilo color marrón haciendo 10 puntos de cadenas y los formamos de esta manera: 2 puntos bajos juntos, 2 puntos medio alto, 4 puntos altos normales, 2 puntos medio alto y 2 puntos bajos juntos, volteando la pieza y hacemos los mismos puntos en el otro extremo.

La siguiente fila trabajamos en punto medio altos con los aumentos necesarios para darle forma, cambiamos el hilo por el color naranja intenso y vamos trabajando y haciendo aumentos para tratar de darle la forma deseada, así trabajamos las 2 primeras filas.

En las filas 3, 4 y 5 en la parte del cuello de la fruta hacemos unos puntos alargando la forma para que no quede redonda totalmente, nuevamente cambiamos el hilo por el color beige claro en esta oportunidad nos ubicamos buscando el contorno en redondo simulando que está colocada sobre un plato, aquí trabajamos 2 filas logrando hacer una circunferencia incompleta y posteriormente con el hilo color verde le hacemos un tallo y una hoja.
