Hoy revisando la comunidad me encuentro con este maravilloso Concurso y como diríamos en mi país, me cayó como anillo al dedo 💍 , ya que actualmente estoy en un proyecto para mi cocina, este proyecto tiene varios días dentro de mis ideas y trabajos por hacer y no me había decidido, apenas leí las pautas del Concurso me dije vamos a ponernos manos a la obra y hacer este proyecto de una vez, así que aquí les dejo mi participación:

Today, reviewing the community, I came across this wonderful Contest and as we would say in my country, it fit me like a glove 💍, since I am currently working on a project for my kitchen, this project has several days in my ideas and work to do and I hadn't decided, as soon as I read the Contest guidelines I told myself let's get to work and do this project once and for all, so here is my participation:

Hace unos días visitando la tienda de telas me encontré con un estante en el cual hay unas telas hermosas por tan sólo 1$ el metro, desde hace tiempo había querido comprar una tela bonita para mi cocina, solo que deseaba un diseño diferente a los que comúnmente vemos en telas para cocina.

Observando detalladamente me llamó mucho la atención el diseño de una de estas telas, es un diseño de flores grandes, lo principal que me gustó fueron los colores, estos resaltan mucho, son tonos vibrantes, verde, naranja, amarillo, Justo con estos colores he combinado mis utensilios en la cocina, consulté con mi bolsillo y pude comprar 2 m de esta tela.

Me hubiese gustado comprar más para hacer todo tipo de decoración en la cocina con esta tela, tristemente en el momento era lo que me quedaba de dinero, espero que esta tela continúe en la tienda y esta semana pueda comprar un poco más, pero la cantidad de tela que compré es perfecta para hacer lo que más deseaba, la cortina ☺️ y por lo pronto haré también el adorno para el agarradero de la cocina.

Traté de rendir la tela al máximo para que me sobrara para hacer otras decoraciónes, recordé que mi hijo mayor cuando estudiaba el sexto grado ( tenía 11 años en la actualidad tiene 23 ) me obsequió un adorno único y original para el agarradero de mi cocina, un pañito en forma de vestido, este increíble diseño fue un obsequio en unas navidades para las madres, todos los niños junto a su maestra idearon este increíble adorno.

Buscando entre mis cosas conseguí un pañito de cocina sencillo, así que manos a la obra aquí les muestro cómo hacer un lindo pañito decorativo para la cocina y una hermosa cortina, espero les guste, aquí les dejo la lista de materiales que utilicé

• 2 metros de tela de 1,50m de ancha
• un retazo de tela de otro color para combinar
• 1 pañito
• alguna cinta decorativa
• máquina de coser
• tijeras, hilos, cinta métrica, etc.

A few days ago, visiting the fabric store, I found a shelf on which there are some beautiful fabrics for only $1 per meter. I had wanted to buy a beautiful fabric for my kitchen for a long time, I just wanted a different design than the ones we commonly see in kitchen fabrics.

Looking in detail, the design of one of these fabrics caught my attention, it is a design of large flowers, the main thing I liked were the colors, these stand out a lot, they are vibrant tones, green, orange, yellow, just with these colors I have I combined my utensils in the kitchen, I checked my pocket and I was able to buy 2 m of this fabric.

I would have liked to buy more to make all kinds of decoration in the kitchen with this fabric, sadly at the time it was all I had left of money, I hope that this fabric continues in the store and this week I can buy a little more, but the amount of fabric that I bought is perfect to make what I wanted most, the curtain ☺️ and for now I will also make the decoration for the kitchen handle.

I tried to make the most of the fabric so that I would have left over to make other decorations, I remembered that my eldest son when he was in sixth grade (he was 11 years old and now he is 23) gave me a unique and original decoration for the handle of my kitchen, a cloth in the shape of a dress, this incredible design was a Christmas gift for mothers, all the children together with their teacher came up with this incredible decoration.

Searching through my things I found a simple kitchen towel, so let's get to work, here I show you how to make a nice decorative kitchen towel and a beautiful curtain, I hope you like it, here is the list of materials that I used

• 2 meters of fabric 1.50m wide
• a piece of fabric of another color to match
• 1 cloth
• some decorative tape
• sewing machine
• scissors, threads, measuring tape, etc.

Para comenzar con la confección de esta cortina vamos a tomar las medidas de la ventana, calcularemos un aproximado de la medida que va desde el tubo de la cortina hasta donde va a quedar el ruedo, mi medida será de 80 cm, no quiero que quede muy larga ya que esta ventana es encima del mesón.

Voy a hacer 2 cortinas pequeñas, la ventana de mi cocina es ancha y tiene una división en el centro, el ancho de la ventana es de 115cm cortaré la tela de 70 cm de alto y el ancho de la tela lo voy a dividir a la mitad para hacer las dos cortinas, no quedará muy arrullada pero le colocaré bolero por toda la orilla, Esto hará que se vea mejor.

Para el bolero de la orilla vamos a cortar tiras de 10 cm de ancha, en total corté cuatro tiras utilizando el ancho de la tela.

To begin making this curtain we are going to take the measurements of the window, we will calculate an approximate measurement that goes from the curtain tube to where the hem will be, my measurement will be 80 cm, I don't want it to be very long since this window is above the inn.

I am going to make 2 small curtains, my kitchen window is wide and has a division in the center, the width of the window is 115cm, I will cut the fabric 70 cm high and I will divide the width of the fabric at the same time. half to make the two curtains, it will not be very draped but I will place a bolero along the entire edge. This will make it look better.

For the border bolero we are going to cut 10 cm wide strips, in total I cut four strips using the width of the fabric.

Ahora sí, a comenzar a coser, con ayuda de nuestra máquina vamos a unir 2 de las tiras de tela de 10cm y luego le vamos a hacer un ruedo bien delgado, este será el bolero de la cortina, Para unirlo a la tela le vamos a hacer pequeños pliegues, comenzaremos desde la orilla del centro de cada cortina, redondeamos un poco en la esquina y continuamos en la orilla inferior.

En la orilla de los laterales hacemos un ruedo delgado, luego de coser todo el bolero a las dos cortinas pasamos una costura recta por toda la parte de afuera para que quede más firme y bonito.

Now, let's start sewing, with the help of our machine we are going to join 2 of the 10cm strips of fabric and then we are going to make a very thin hem, this will be the bolero of the curtain. To join it to the fabric we are going to To make small folds, we will start from the center edge of each curtain, round a little in the corner and continue on the lower edge.

At the edge of the sides we make a thin hem, after sewing the entire bolero to the two curtains we pass a straight seam along the entire outside so that it is firmer and more beautiful.

Para la orilla de arriba de la cortina donde va el tubo cortaremos en tela verde una tira de 15 cm de alta por el ancho de la tela, unimos a nuestra tela de flores pasando una costura por el lado derecho de la tela, cortaremos también 2 tira en la tela de flores, esta será de 8 cm de alta por el ancho de la tela, le hacemos el ruedo respectivamente para hacer un pequeño bolero a la tela verde.

En este paso vamos a fijarnos bien de qué lado vamos a cocer el bolero ya que luego de pegarlo a la tela verde debemos doblar hacia fuera y pasamos una costura por donde va a atravesar el tubo

In this step we are going to pay close attention to which side we are going to sew the bolero since after gluing it to the green fabric we must fold it outwards and pass a seam through which the tube will go through.

Y con este paso finalizaremos la confección de nuestra hermosa cortina para decorar nuestra cocina y que se vea más llamativa, me encantan los colores de esta tela y la combinación que hace con todos mis utensilios de cocina.🧑‍🍳❤️

Para este diseño de pañito voy a utilizar los típicos pañitos que venden para la cocina, estos son rectangulares y tienen una medida aproximada de 60 cm de largo por 35 cm de ancho, también puede utilizar un retazo de tela de toalla, Cortaremos el pañito a la mitad, No te asustes no se va a dañar ya verás cómo quedará.

For this doily design I am going to use the typical doilies that they sell for the kitchen, these are rectangular and have an approximate measurement of 60 cm long by 35 cm wide, you can also use a piece of towel fabric. We will cut the doily half, don't be scared, it won't be damaged, you'll see how it will turn out.

El espacio de abertura del agarradero de mi cocina tiene una medida de 32 cm, cortaré un retazo de tela verde de 30 cm de ancha por 30 cm de alta, doblo a la mitad y le voy a hacer el dibujo como si fuera la parte de arriba de un vestido de niña, le haré boleros en las orillas con todos los retazos de tela de flores que me han sobrado.

The opening space of the handle in my kitchen has a measurement of 32 cm. I will cut a piece of green fabric 30 cm wide by 30 cm high, fold it in half and make the drawing as if it were the part of On top of a girl's dress, I will make boleros on the edges with all the scraps of flower fabric that I have left over.

Luego vamos a unir cada mitad del pañito a cada parte de nuestro vestido, uno por delante y uno por detrás haciéndole pequeños pliegues hasta completar de esquina a esquina, aquí puedes jugar con la decoración, mayormente este tipo de decoraciones le ponen encajes, yo no quise colocarle encajes ya que con el tiempo se ensucian y se les pega el sucio muy feo, así que decidí colocarle sólo la tela y una cinta decorativa dorada.

Then we are going to attach each half of the cloth to each part of our dress, one in front and one in the back, making small folds until it is complete from corner to corner, here you can play with the decoration, mostly these types of decorations put lace on it, I don't I wanted to put lace on it because over time they get dirty and the dirt sticks very ugly, so I decided to put just the fabric and a gold decorative ribbon on it.

A mi pañito también le coloqué un pequeño bolero en la parte inferior, sólo en la parte delantera, Y así culminamos la confección de este hermoso pañito tipo vestido para la cocina, me encanta haber terminado este proyecto, gracias a esta gran motivación de este Concurso , espero les haya gustado y le sirva de idea para hacer las decoración en sus cocinas.

I also placed a small bolero on the bottom of my cloth, only in the front part, and thus we completed the making of this beautiful dress-type cloth for the kitchen. I love having finished this project, thanks to this great motivation of this Contest. I hope you liked it and it serves as an idea for decorating your kitchens.

En mis costuras tengo muchos proyectos en la lista, tengo varias telas guardadas y por la falta de tiempo o a veces de motivación no los realizo, gracias a este Concurso me motive a hacer rápidamente el de mi cocina o sino esta tela hubiese permanecido guardada quizás por mucho tiempo, ja ja, gracias querida comunidad por darnos Cada vez motivación en realizar nuestros proyectos, me despido deseándoles muchos éxitos y bendiciones, hasta otra oportunidad
