I want to start with the question: What songs have you completely memorized?

It is very interesting and made me reflect a lot since throughout our lives we accumulate favorite songs that we memorize completely and that in turn give way to new ones, but this question made me think of a song that means a lot to me, it is also a song well known throughout the world and wherever there is a Cuban it will be heard in any activity or meeting between Cubans. friends, especially if you are far from Cuba.

It is about Guantanamera, its lyrics are beautiful because they have the simple verses of our poet José Martí, verses that contain a great love for the homeland and humanity. When I listen to the melody and the lyrics, it reaches the deepest corner of my soul and at the same time makes me dance to the rhythm of its son. The guajira guantanamera refers to the woman who comes from Guantánamo and uses the phrase to achieve a contagious refrain that everyone can easily remember.

It is an authentic Cuban son, who does not move their feet when listening to it? This is a song that identifies Cubans, it is a symbol of Cubanness. I have had several experiences of visiting other countries and I can tell you that when I hear the Guantanamera I have a great feeling that even tears want to come out to show their feeling of love and pride in being Cuban.

Quiero comenzar con la pregunta: ¿Qué canción memorizas completamente?

Es muy interesante y me hizo reflexionar mucho ya que a lo largo de nuestra vida vamos acumulando canciones favoritas que las memorizamos completamente y que a su vez dan paso a otras nuevas, pero esta pregunta me hizo pensar en una canción que significa mucho para mí, es además una canción muy conocida en el mundo entero y donde quiera que haya un cubano se va a escuchar en cualquier actividad o reunión entre amigos sobre todo si estas lejos de Cuba.

Se trata de Guantanamera, su letra es preciosa porque tiene los versos sencillos de nuestro poeta José Martí, versos que encierran un gran amor a la patria y a la humanidad. Al escuchar la melodía y la letra me llega al más profundo rincón del alma y a la vez me hace bailar al ritmo de su son. La guajira guantanamera se refiere a la mujer que proviene de Guantánamo y utiliza la frase para lograr un estribillo contagioso que todos pueden recordar fácilmente.

Es un auténtico son cubano ¿a quién no se le mueven los pies al escucharla? Esta es una canción que identifica al cubano, es símbolo de cubanía. Yo he tenido varias experiencias de visitar otros países y les puedo decir que cuando escucho la Guantanamera me aflora un gran sentimiento que hasta las lágrimas quieren salir a demostrar su sentimiento de amor y orgullo de ser cubana.
