Padlocks Of Love π€
Walking through the park I noticed several padlocks hanging from the railings of a small bridge at the duck pond, I was curious and took some pictures.
I know that in many countries it is a tradition for couples to place padlocks on bridges and throw the keys into the river, as a way of sealing their commitment and eternal love. I also read that the most famous example of this gesture of love is that of the Pont des Arts in Paris. For years, thousands of couples traveled there to leave their padlock and seal their love in what many say is the most romantic city in the world. However, the bridge became at risk due to the excessive weight of the number of padlocks left there, which led the authorities to remove them in 2015. I guess this event was sad for those couples who had that memory hanging on the bridge.
I don't think the park bridge will ever be in danger because there are very few padlocks that I saw. Could it be that most couples in Vigo don't love each other as much as they seem to? π
Some padlocks have names and dates carved on them, in this one below they were more romantic because they even put some hearts attached to it. π€
In this one I guess the couple went back to the time they were married and placed one more lock for each child, or for each year? Well I'm just speculating! π
This last one I saw on another railing surrounding the duck pond, it is the most beautiful, I imagine they wanted their special place so they left it away from the rest.

Muchas Gracias! π€
That has always seemed to me a very nice tradition in the places where they are made and they are certainly very nice photos and in a certain aspect with the context very romantic, I love them!
