Hello friends! Continuing with the photos I took on my last walk around Santiago de Compostela, today I selected some images of the Cathedral to share in black and white. In October 2022 I shared with you a post where I made a brief review of The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and I posted several images of this majestic monument inside and out, if you want to see them you can click on this link.

Every time I visit Santiago De Compostela it is inevitable not to pass in front of the Cathedral, it is like a force of attraction, and even if you say "I have already seen it many times" you still can not resist the temptation to come and see it again.

This is the first time I have shared images in black and white of the Cathedral, I think this type of architecture is more appreciated in monochrome, although the inside is better in color because it details the golden glow that has their images and the chapel, also the frescoes painted on the walls and in the dome can be better appreciated if they are in color.

Hola amigos! Siguiendo con las fotos que tomé en mi último paseo por Santiago de  Compostela, hoy seleccioné algunas imágenes de la Catedral para compartirlas en blanco y negro. Cada vez que visito Santiago es inevitable no pasar de nuevo por frente a la Catedral, tiene como una fuerza de atracción y aunque tu digas "ya la he visto muchas veces" igual no puedes resistir la tentación de acercarte a verla de nuevo.

Esta es la primera vez que comparto imágenes en blanco y negro de la Catedral, creo que este tipo de arquitectura se aprecia más en monocromo, aunque por dentro es mejor a color porque así se detalla el brillo color oro que tienen sus imágenes y la capilla, también los frescos pintados en las paredes y en la cúpula se pueden apreciar mejor si están a color.

I was delighted to see a painter in front of the Cathedral painting it with all its details, he looked very concentrated despite the inclement sun over his head, and although many people passed around him and kept looking at him, he didn't even flinch. He was too focused on his muse, but I brought him out of his trance for a while and asked him a few questions.

Although he didn't talk much I managed to find out how long he had been painting the Cathedral, as you can see the painting is almost finished, but it already took him two months, maybe you can not detail exactly but the painting had relief, I don't know much about painting but I think a job like that takes a lot of time, and more if you paint every detail of the stones with which this monument is built, and to be honest the painting looked like a picture of the Cathedral. I hope this gentleman can sell his work very well.

Me encantó ver a un pintor frente a la Catedral pintándola con todos sus detalles, se veía muy concentrado a pesar del inclemente sol que tenía sobre su cabeza, y aunque pasaba mucha gente a su alrededor y se quedaban viéndole, él ni se inmutaba. Estaba demasiado concentrado en su musa, pero yo lo saque un rato de su trance y le hice algunas preguntas. 

Aunque no hablaba mucho logre sacarle cuanto tiempo llevaba pintando la Catedral,  como pueden ver la pintura ya está casi terminada, pero eso que ya está hecho le tomó dos meses, tal vez no puedan detallar con exactitud pero la pintura tenía relieve, no se mucho de pintura pero creo que un trabajo de esos se toma mucho tiempo, y más si se pinta cada detalle de las piedras con las que está construido este monumento, y para ser honestos la pintura parecía una foto de la Catedral. Espero que este señor pueda vender muy bien su trabajo.
