A real beer snob always travels with a craft beer!
Good coffee and good beer! These are the two things that matter the most in my life. And that’s why when I travel, I carry both things in my baggage. It is extremely difficult to find craft beer in the tourist destinations and coffee that is available in the rooms and restaurants is garbage. So let’s see what was inside my bagpack…
SMALL STEPS Giant Leaps is a NEIPA, brewed in Bulgaria by Sofia Electric Brewery. This vrewery has become very popular in the last years and always delivers solid products to the customers. Hopefully this one will be another gem in their arsenal. But now, let’s see the label style first.
One of the good things of this hotel room was the abailability of various glasses in the room, but sadly there wasn’t any suitable for beer. I picked a small one… looked kinda cute to me… 😁
The label has no art on it… It is simple and clean. All that mattets here is the name of the beer and it has a reference towards the cosmic science and the landing on the moon. I don’t think that Neil Armstrong was carrying a neipa with him when he walked on the moon, but who knows… 🤷🏻
Let’s open the beer! Pssst…
The haziness is remarkable here - a true representative of the style. Looks juicy and fresh, color is yellow with a little bit of orange hints. If I make a fresh out of oranges it will probably look the same… without the foam, of coarse! Head looks very fine, white in color. Quite a seductive overall look. Time to try it!
Fresh, fresh, fresh… I love this quality of a good NEIPA, and this one is bot that sweet. It definitely has this faint citrus sweet vibes, but the artificial lactic taste is absent.
Citra, El Dorado and Galaxy hops make an excellent combo here. After Citra, Galaxy may be the second most delicious hop variety to me.
And look at this glass! This may be the single tiniest glass to drink beer from. It may be about 150 ml, which means that this 330 ml can will fill it more than two times! And two glasses of beer is always better than one!
The weather was on my sode. It was brilliantly snowing and the coziness of this hotel was feeling even greater now. But let’s not waste much more time, because the hot mineral water pools are waiting for me and my wife. Beer time is over!
Wish you a wonderful and warm weekend. See you really soon with another tasty craft beer.
Cheers and bye!
The real beer snob always travels someplace to visit a craft microbrewery ;)
Cheers!
That is so, but sometimes at the final destination there is no craft brewery! 😁
Actually on the way back home, we visited a craft brewery to enjoy some fresh beer and take away for home…
Now that is something :))
A Bulgarian New England IPA with Galaxy, El Dorado and Citra? YES PLEASE!
I usually avoid bringing beer with me as I love to discover the country through its beer. Still, to have a backup plan in case there is nothing but boring lagers and watery ales, very wise and nice choice.
Well, Bulgaria is not that famous with a lot of breweries here and there, and I have visited the crafters a lot of times already. Of course on my way back home I visited one of the first craft breweries to buy some bottles for home. 😁
The real beer will taste so nice I strongly believe
Wow, I didn't know about this cool beer community! 🙆🏻♀️If it wasn't for @ocd in the curator section of good content post. I wouldn't have known about your participation. Kudos to you for speaking well of beer 🍻 you can tell you carry it with you wherever you want it to go. And this glass indeed gave this natural style on repeat some more. Regards
The beer community is very mature here on the platform, I remember it since my first days here about 6 years ago. #beersaturday is a great weekly challenge which rewards the authors of beer posts.
And it is great that #ocd brought my post to you and caught your attention. Thanks for stopping by!
Oh amazing it's been 6 years since you met this amazing community! 💫 I'm already slowly getting to know you here. It's a pleasure for me to read you. 👍🏻🍺
So you do carry beer everywhere you go? Hmmm, I will raise a taskforce over that so as to search you and to bring all the beers in your bag to me.
Your entry is cool
You are welcome to enjoy my beers… yes I tend to bring at least one with me! 😁 Thanks for stopping by!
