Santa brought to me a little craft beer feast. But is this a beer? Or is it a coffee?

And just like that Christmas passed away… But it surely left a lot of positive vibes and family memories.

Santa has brought a lot of nice presents to all the kids, but he actually didn’t skip their father too.

What’s better than six can-shaped presents in a plastic bag? I guess santa knows me well and I have been more than good during the year. I don’t know for you, but my excitement was already building up, and the first predent which I unwrapped was…

UILTJE Great Granny Cosy Coffee Cocktail… Espresso Doppelbock… This really sounds cosy… and interesting. So let’s proceed and open that “cocktail”!

7,2% dark beer is a lot, or maybe mid-range, and it would be better rnjoyed if the outside temperatures were a little bit lower, because 15 degreed centigrade in the mid day Bulgarian winter is not normal at all. Anyway, to the beer…

The color of the beer is dark brown and it has a medium carbonarion. In the nose it is mainly dark and chocolate malts, with nothing espresso like at all. The coffee taste comes after the first sip. It is not extremely well pronounced, but after all the dark malts have a coffee related notes as usual.

The coffee really brings a nice coffee aftertaste. Espresso infused beers seem to be a real fashion trend in the last months or year, but it is the first time I try one in my life. But… to be gonest I may prefer my espresso out of the beer and the beer free from espresso. 😁
And I am against that, especially if the coffee is Specialty. Infusing the beer woth such an expenssive coffee is just not a good decision.

Of course all of this is a oersonal opinion. So overall, the beer is very good, the label is nuts and the whole concept is great. And the beers stands beautifully on photos.

O really cannot wait to try all the beers that santa brought to me, but hey… one by one! 😁
