Soulful Sounds; An Unforgettable Church Service.

I have a friend who often bickers about churches employing the service of a professional musician when it comes down to the musical section (choristers and instrumentalist) of the church instead of allowing well-meaning volunteers to sing off the beat, and I'm totally in agreement with his sentiment.
It is true that many renowned musicians had their rough edges and, most especially, had their little beginnings from the church, but at what expense?
The congregant's ears shouldn't suffer the displeasure of listening to wack music just because the church will prefer to finance other things other than music.

King David in the Bible wouldn’t have said, " I am glad when they say to me, let us go to the house of Lord," if all he was gonna hear was some deadbeat songs, lol.
To me, good music and words of wisdom work hand in hand to give worshippers long-lasting experiences.

Honestly, my most amazing music experiences in the previous years don’t fall into any of those popular guesses as they may be for other people. I didn’t go to any musical concerts, parties, or events that would have perfectly secured me, the supposed, "** amazing music experience**"
All of the musical experiences I garnered last year were in the four walls of the church, listening off the speaker of my phone or when I connected my phone to a headset or an MP.
And I must say, those experiences were never short of amazing.

For context's sake, if I must mention the one that stood out of them all, that will be the one when I was invited by a friend over to his church for a Sunday service.
I decided to honor his invitation after declining his proposition continuously.
In his words, he said, "Dorcas, trust me, you're going to like it." since there was harm no in trying, I gave in to his request and started prepping for the day.

D-day arrived, and I was woken up by his call that morning; he called in to know if I hadn't given a die-minute rain check on his invitation. He was much surprised when I said, I'll be on my way in no time.

Unexpectedly, I did not have much trouble locating the venue of the church like I thought it would be for me. Apparently, the church is situated near an expressway and also, it is a popular church in that locality.
The reception I received upon my arrival at the premises of the church was great and afterward, one of the ushers led me to my seat.
Oh, I forgot to mention, I got there in the middle of the worship period, so technically, I had to join other fellow worshippers in the lifting of arms to worship in songs, and it was so ethereal for me.
Shortly after that, other groups of choirs mounted the podium to put us all in the mood of praise. Sincerely, I don't know where those dancing steps came from, it felt as though I was spellbound by something greater than me.
For that split moment of praise, I danced by heart out and even did some dancing duet stuff with a guy sitting next to me. Although the feeling I got from it all was short-lived when the pastor cut in to preach. I loved how I felt that day and badly wish that, all my days were like that; it was so soulful, I felt free and intoxicated with excitement.
