Love languages || LOH CONTEST #225
When was the first time you said, “I love you” to someone in your life other than family?
And tell us what your 'love language' is?
Bye guys, hey ladies!!! So, i got in third position the last week for @ladiesofhive #225 contest? Thank youuuuu✨
That said, you know i had to turn in my entry for this week, innit?
With this week's prompt, it gave y'all messyyyyy trying to get into my business talking bout the first time i said i love you to someone other than family?
Well, will y'all speak my love language if i tell y'all?
So, the first time i said i love you to someone other than family? I really can't remember and that's because most of the time when I've said i love you is to family and other than family? Well, my girlfriends. I've likely said a lot of I Love Yous but i prefer doing that through my love languages most of the time.
If a person loves cooking for another, that is what? Acts of service, right?
The 5 love languages as commonly classified are
- Words of affirmation
- Quality time
- Gifts
- Acts of service
- Physical touch
Apparently, Chapman's theory says that each person has one primary and one secondary love language. And it leaves me wondering, can't a person have 2 primary and 3 secondary? I don't know about others? But i do know i speak all languages fluently. What i do need to work on, is finding out the language another can speak so we'll communicate well.
If i were to rate the love languages, i would have Gifts at the top, acts of service, words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch. Even grading them feels wrong because i feel like as much these languages cannot be spoken by everyone, we should try to know the basics, right?
For me, i mostly show my love to people by acts of service and gifting them but also words of affirmation because i know words as empty as they are can make and break a person. But really , finding out a recipient's love language is important except that for me, i want it all.
It's not surprising if you place gifting as number one because alot of persons seems to think that's the only love Language that exist, forgetting that their are others. This is so because most persons don't see beyond the physical gift.
Congratulations on your win!

I agree with you, words can make or break a person, ways of showing love with acts of service and gifts are very valuable, and yes, it is important to discover the other person's love language, thank you for sharing your thoughts,
