CONTEST 166: REDIRECTING MY ENERGIES

Albert Einstein had opined that doing the same thing over and over, the same way, is insanity.

Last year had been somewhat a successful year but to some, a less-achieved year.

I was really bothered in thoughts when I sat back to reflect on the level of achievements I had on the goals I earlier set at the beginning of the year. I quickly rushed to my library and grab my last year's diary. I wipe the dust that had given the diary a brownish cover cause it wasn't in use for quite a while. I stepped out into the balcony and comfortably sat myself on a chair. After opening the diary, I glanced through my aims for the year, the first goal had earlier been achieved. The second was a done deal but sadly, the last was barely reached. I discovered that I had not yet gained my financial freedom so, while I went through why, I noticed I had not clearly mapped out strategies to achieving it. I began to pounder if 2023 was a successful or failed year for me. Well, I would say that my success was on the average range.

I had desired to be debt free and financially independent but a reverse was the case. How was I going to get to this level I so desired? Definitely, its going to be through a review on my plans, approaches and where I channel my energies on.

My firm decision is that for this year, all positive energies will be channeled towards professionalizing my skills and marketing them. I am going to be very deliberate about investing and saving up money too. No more frivolities. I'm not making the mistake of being casual about it as previous. I am convinced that with these, 2024 will definitely be better.
