This Is my entry for this week, I’m singing a classic: Torn, by Natalie Imbruglia. First of all, a want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to the Vibes crew because I made it to the top 10 last week. It was such a surprise and honor, I still can’t believe it! I send you the biggest hug.
The song of my heartbreaks💔
Torn is a really special song for me, it has been good company in some past heartbreaks. I literally “laid naked on the floor” after a breakup listening to this song. That was a very epiphanic experience. I love how this song also talks about disappointment in a very beautiful way. A colleague showed me this song at one of my first jobs as a singer in an Orchestra of Symphonic Rock. I got that job knowing nothing about rock and ended up falling in love with it!
Torn is Natalie Imbruglia’s debut single and more successful song, it came out 27 years ago! In 1997. I wanted to let here this video from two years ago of her singing Torn with Olivia Rodrigo! I’m so glad the she invited her so the new generations get to know her work and how the music of young artists like Olivia is inspired by Natalie and other great women of rock. Also, she looks and sings amazingly after all this time!

Esta es mi entrada para esta semana, estaré cantando un clásico: Torn, de Natalie Imbruglia. En primer lugar, quiero decir MUCHAS GRACIAS al equipo de Vibes porque llegué al top 10 la semana pasada. Fue una sorpresa y un honor tan grande, les mando un abrazo enorme.
La canción de mis corazones rotos💔
Torn es una canción realmente especial para mí, ha sido una buena compañía en algunos despechos. Literalmente me “acosté desnudo en el suelo” después de una ruptura escuchando esta canción. Una na experiencia muy epifánica. Me encanta cómo esta canción también habla de la decepción de una manera muy hermosa. Un colega me la mostró en uno de mis primeros trabajos como cantante en una Orquesta de Rock Sinfónico. ¡Conseguí ese trabajo sin saber nada sobre rock y terminé enamorándome de él!
Torn es el sencillo debut de Natalie Imbruglia y su canción más exitosa, ¡salió hace 27 años! En 1997. Quería dejar aquí este vídeo de hace dos años de ella cantando Torn con Olivia Rodrigo. Me alegra mucho que la haya invitado para que las nuevas generaciones conozcan su trabajo y cómo la música de artistas jóvenes como Olivia se inspira en Natalie y otras grandes mujeres del rock. Además, ¡luce y canta increíblemente después de todo este tiempo!
