A woman and a mother...contest #176
I am a single mother and also a working woman. Despite lots of challenges like work and family balance, strain of society's expectations, gender discrimination, inflexible working hours and a lot more, I feel I am very strong because of my children.
Yes! my children made me feel strong by showing how strong they think I am, through paintings, drawings and essay competitions in their schools. Their topic is always me as some sort of super woman who has all the powers to make their world beautiful and solve all their worries and troubles, who can do unthinkable and always fight for them in the society where being a single parent for a woman is very hard. I am determined to provide my kids the best lives possible and I have no doubt about it.
I love being super hero of kids. My kid's faith in me has strengthened me and this is the reason my life is better then ever and more productive. I have struggled to be where I am now because failure was unthinkable. This strength of mine amazed the people who knew me from the beginning because I was not what I am today.
I love being a mother and being a super hero! It gave me strength to keep going and succeeding despite all the adversity.
