LOH CONTEST #160 - Letter to my mum

Dear mom

it's been several years since you left and not a day goes by without me thinking about you or missing you.your sudden departure from this world did not only traumatized me it also left a void in my heart that can never be filled.
There are so many unexpressed emotions so many things left unsaid and so many moments left unshared I wish I could turn back the hands of time I would seize every chance to tell you thank you for your love and support.
the day you left was a surprise you left without warning, without saying goodbye mummy you left a cold emptiness at home.at first,I thought you were sleeping but I was told that I won't see you again I was so pained because I wasn't prepared for that farewell I wish there was something I would do to stop you from going.
I find consolation in imagining that somehow you can hear these words, read through the lines of the letter, I hope you are at peace, free from pain and sadness and surrounded by the love you generously gave during your time with us.
if you can read this letter from heaven I want you to know you were such a great mom and I want to also say thank you for being such a lovely, caring, and understanding woman and I want you to know how much you meant to me and how deeply I have missed you. Till we meet again mom, your memory lives forever in my heart, and I promise to live a life that will make you so proud wherever you are.
