Coastal Sentry | Splinterlands Art Contest | Pixel Art [Eng-Esp]

Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying this december holidays. Today I want to share with you the fan art inspired by the splinterlands card called Coastal Sentry

Which are beautiful sentries that inhabit the coasts of Praetoria and whose function is to protect its people and the marine fauna that surrounds them.

¡Hola a todos! Espero que esten disfrutando estas fiestas decembrinas. El dia de hoy quiero compartirles el fan art inspirado en la carta de splinterlands llamada Coastal Sentry

Los cuales son unos hermosos centinelas que habitan las costas de Praetoria y cuya función es proteger a su gente y la fauna marina que les rodea.

Previously I had done some fan art with a frontal perspective, but in this case I decided to make this character in a similar pose to the original one.

The sketch was created with pixels, since the illustration was done using pixel art. I wasn't quite convinced after I did it, but I decided to give it a try. I didn't do so many details, as I like to shape it as I color the illustration.

Anteriormente había hecho algunos fan art con una perspectiva frontal, pero en este caso decidí hacer a este personaje en una pose similar a la del original.

El boceto lo cree con píxeles, ya que la ilustración la hice usando la tecnica del pixel art. No estaba muy convencida del todo despues de haberlo hecho, sin embargo decidí darle una oportunidad. No le hice tantos detalles, ya que me gusta darle forma a medida que voy coloreando la ilustración.

The next step was to apply a base color and on this base is where I began to give the first details of shading.

Lo siguiente fué aplicar una base de color y sobre esta base es donde comencé a darle los primeros detalles de sombreado.

As the base color was somewhat light, the lighting applied was slight and once finished I continued with the coloring of other details, such as the eyes, mouth, nose and all those elements that make up the face.

Como la base de color fué algo clara, la iluminación aplicada fué leve y una vez terminada proseguí con el coloreado de otros detalles, como el de los ojos, boca, nariz y todos esos elementos que conforman el rostro.

Then I continued with the coloring of the few clothes the character wears and the hair.

Luego seguí con el coloreado de la poca ropa que lleva el personaje y el cabello.

I should mention that although I was not entirely convinced before, as I was coloring the illustration I liked the result a lot and here below I leave them, hoping you like it! 😃

Debo mencionar que aunque no estaba del todo convencida anteriormente, a medida que fui coloreando la ilustración me fué gustando mucho el resultado y acá abajo se los dejo, esperando que sea de su agrado! 😃
