My Desire to be a Leap Day Bae _ LOH#174

To tell the truth, I have always wished that I was born on February 29th in a leap year. I know to some people it may sound strange. They would ask "Why would you want your birthday to come once every four years?" But for me I feel it would be wonderful if my birthday was February 29th. I will explain why.

Firstly, it would make my birthday special and unique among all my friends and family. Nobody would have a birthday like me. It would really stand out. When doing introductions of ourselves in new places, my leap day birthday would be something people remembered me by. It would be nice to have one special thing that was only my own.

Additionally, having a birthday once every four years would make it even more fun and exciting whenever it came around. Because it doesn’t happen annually, I would hype it up immensely during the leap years when it occurs. In fact, I would turn it into a big celebration for me and everyone I knew. All because I had been waiting four years to celebrate it again. It is something a person could really look forward to.

The chance to get gifts on February 29th would delight me to no end too. I would even be asking for presents on March 1st in regular years. Calling it my "unbirthday" or something like that. But on the actual February 29th in leap years, I know I would get plenty of love from everybody. My mom and dad would buy me nice clothes or a new video game. My friends might chip in to throw a party for me. I would enjoy all the attention that one day.

It would also be nice to plan big things every four years. Maybe travel on vacation for the February 29th leap years. Since it is a special once-in-four-years day, it would be worth spending money on a big celebration. I could start saving since the previous one so I have enough funds to travel well for the next one. It would be like the Olympics or World Cup happening every four years. I would look forward to it immensely.

As I grow into an adult, having a leap year birthday would still be fun because I would stand out. Even at work or meeting new people, my February 29th birthday would be an interesting icebreaker. Wherever I went, people would likely ask me about it because it's unique. It would spark conversation and new friendships. I would love that sort of attention so much that I would never stop talking about my leap year birthday.

So overall, being born on February 29th would be a very enjoyable experience for me. Yes, most years I wouldn’t be able to celebrate it on the actual date and would just shift it around. But that would make the leap years even more precious. I would hype it up greatly, And the uniqueness of it would make me feel special forever, even as an adult. So if I had the chance, I would so want to be born on February 29th of a leap year. I would cherish it until the day I died.
