Spineback Wolf fanart for Splinterlands Art Contest Week 315 .
Hey everyone! What's up?
I hope you're all doing well! I'm feeling great and super excited to share my new artwork. First off, congratulations to all the winners of the Splinterlands Art Contest Week 314. A big shoutout to all the amazing artists who participated .
For week 315, I made this fan art of Spineback Wolf. It was a ferocious, battle-ready wolf, and I wanted to capture that raw, energy. The pose shows it just moments before launching into an attack, giving it that intense, dangerous vibe and I got the idea for this pose art of my wolf from this art.

This piece is a vector-style art created entirely in Adobe Illustrator. Sharp lines and vibrant colors help emphasize the power and energy of the art. I took inspiration from the original artwork but added my own unique twists to make it stand out, like the glowing spikes and eerie atmosphere of the moonlit night.
Creating this piece was both challenging and rewarding. I started by sketching the initial rough outline of the wolf, focusing on its position and overall pose. Once I was satisfied with the basic form, I moved on to inking the lines using Illustrator's pen tool, which helped me achieve clean and precise edges.
I experimented a lot with the colors, especially the bright elements on the spikes and eyes to make the wolf look scarier. Balancing the highlights and shadows was the key for more appeal. Every layer, from the fur texture to the glowing green embers in the background, was carefully crafted to create an immersive environment.
For the final touch, I paid attention to small details like nail sharpness and muscle tension.
It took quite a bit of time and effort to get everything right, from sketching the initial pose to finalizing the small details that bring this wolf to life. Below, I've included some process shots so you can see how this part evolved step by step.
I hope you like it . Your feedback always help me to improve my work and I wait to hear what you think about my this artwork . Thank you .
