Aesthetic or conceptual photography? Which do you prefer? /Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

The other day a student asked me a question that left me thinking about it: teacher, what strikes you most when taking a photo, the composition or the message behind the image? Do you prefer it to be a pretty picture or one that says something? And although at the time I already had a clear answer in my head, the truth is that it made me think a lot. From those questions came some doubts, and with all that in mind I sat down to edit some photos I had taken recently. Here I share with you what came out of that process, let's see what you think.

El otro día un estudiante me lanzó una pregunta que me dejó dándole vueltas al asunto: ¿profe, qué es lo que más te llama la atención al hacer una foto, la composición o el mensaje detrás de la imagen? ¿Prefieres que sea una foto linda o que diga algo? Y aunque en el momento ya tenía una respuesta clara en mi cabeza, lo cierto es que me hizo pensar bastante. De esas preguntas surgieron algunas dudas, y con todo eso en mente me senté a editar algunas fotos que había hecho hace poco. Aquí les comparto lo que salió de ese proceso, a ver qué opinan ustedes.

The truth is that it's hard for me to take photos that are visually beautiful and at the same time transmit something deep. So it usually happens that I end up looking for a balance between the two things, although I don't always succeed. But well, it's part of learning, trial and error. La verdad es que me cuesta hacer fotos que sean visualmente bonitas y a la vez transmitan algo profundo. Entonces suele pasar que termino buscando un equilibrio entre las dos cosas, aunque no siempre lo logro. Pero bueno, es parte del aprendizaje, prueba y error.
