When silence has something to say. / Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Greetings #blackandwhite family.

For me, there are places that have something special, as if they have a life of their own, that feeling that there is something magical or different surrounding them. Today I want to tell you about one of those places, a place where empty spaces seem to come alive in the silence. And no, it's not a medieval castle full of ghosts, although it sounds cool, doesn't it? It's something closer: my school.

I'm a teacher at a high school near my house, and for a long time now I've noticed something curious: when the students leave and the school is left alone, the silence is... different. It's as if an aura of mystery takes over the place, and you can almost hear voices wandering the halls and classrooms. I'll tell you more about it later.

Sometimes I sit at the end of the empty classroom and imagine the thousands of students who have passed through here, how many life stories.

The school is already a few years old and has not received much love, which translates into a rather deteriorated infrastructure, which adds to the mystery of the place.

Older teachers tell stories all the time, I'm not superstitious but some of them are really creepy.

Today I wanted to share with you something different, a bit different from street photography, but still part of my day to day life. I'm sure this is not the only school where something like this happens, right? The mystery always seems to be present in these places, as if they come to life just when everyone leaves. Para mí, hay lugares que tienen algo especial, como si tuvieran vida propia, esa sensación de que hay algo mágico o diferente que los rodea. Hoy quiero hablarles de uno de esos sitios, un lugar donde los espacios vacíos parecen cobrar vida en el silencio. Y no, no es un castillo medieval lleno de fantasmas, aunque suena genial, ¿no? Es algo más cercano: mi escuela.

Soy profesor en un instituto de enseñanza media que está cerca de mi casa, y desde hace un montón de tiempo me he dado cuenta de algo curioso: cuando los estudiantes se van y la escuela se queda sola, el silencio es... diferente. Es como si un aura de misterio se apoderara del lugar, y casi puedes escuchar voces que recorren los pasillos y las aulas. Ya les cuento más detalles.

A veces me siento al final del aula vacía y imagino los miles de estudiantes que han pasado por aquí, cuantas historias de vida.

La escuela tiene ya unos cuantos añitos y no ha recibido mucho cariño,lo que se traduce en una infraestructura bastante deteriorada, eso le añade más misterio al lugar.

Los profesores más antiguos todo el tiempo cuentan historias, no soy supersticioso pero la verdad algunas son de escalofríos.

Hoy quise compartirles algo diferente, un poco alejado de las fotografías callejeras, pero que igual forma parte de mi día a día. Estoy seguro de que esta no es la única escuela donde pasa algo así, ¿no? El misterio siempre parece estar presente en estos lugares, como si cobraran vida justo cuando todos se van. ¡Gracias, amigos, por tomarse el tiempo de leerme!
