Hello needlework, happy Tuesday. I'm here again, participating in the Needlework Your Barbie Contest 2024 Edition. Between Sunday and Monday I knitted this beautiful yellow dress with lilac flowers to represent spring. It was very entertaining this work because this is really a challenge and I like to participate because little by little the doll has her dress. So I am going to detail each step.
Hola Needlework, feliz martes. Nuevamente por acá, participando en el concurso de Needlework Your Barbie Contest 2024 Edición. Entre el domingo y lunes tejí este hermoso vestido color amarillo con unas flores en color lila para representar la primavera. Fue muy entretenido este trabajo porque realmente este es un reto y me gusta participar porque poco a poco la muñeca tiene su vestimenta. Entonces voy a detallar cada paso.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
- Yellow and lilac crochet thread.
- Crochet needle No. 2.
- Wool needle.
- 01 pearl.
- 20 cm of satin ribbon.
- Hilo crochet color amarillo y lila.
- Aguja crochet Nº 2.
- Aguja lanera.
- 01 perla.
- 20 cm de cinta raso.
Abbreviations//Abreviaciones:
Ch: chain(s).
mp: half point.
mpa: half high point.
aum: increases.
pa: high point.
pr: slipped stitch.
Ch: cadena(s).
mp: medio punto.
mpa: medio punto alto.
aum: aumento.
pa: punto alto.
pr: punto deslizado.
Process//Proceso:
Skirt
Color yellow:
- v1, v2: Assemble 43 chs, return in next stitch, 40 pa, pr.
- v3, v5: 5 chs, pa, skip one space, pa, repeat sequence, pr.
Lilac color:
- v6: 9 Chs in air, pr, drop handle, slip needle , mp, and pull handle, make first flower motif, 3 chs, 4pa, 3 ch, 3 ch, mp, 3chs, 4pa, 3chs, 3chs, 3chs, 4pa, 3chs, 3chs, 4pa, 3chs, 4pa, 3chs, 3chs, pr, Skip 3 spaces and return make motif, repeat until you have (07).
Color yellow.
- v7, v9: Repeat v3.
Falda
Color amarillo:
- v1, v2: Montar 43 chs, devolver en el siguiente punto, 40 pa, pr.

Color lila:

Color amarillo.
- v7, v9: Repetir v3.
Bodice:
- v1: Insert yarn at start of skirt, 3 ch, spread 30 spaces making pa separated by 1 ch, pr.
- v2, v6: Make 3 ch, make pa, all the way around, pr. From v4 we make the opening of the dress back, and from there we go back to start the next round.
- v7: 3 chs, 5 st, sleeve: (4 chs in the air, 15 st, 4 chs in the air, 5 st). Make the buttonhole for the button.
- v8: Make 6 mp, mpa, 3pa,mpa, 15 mp, mpa, 3pa, mpa, 3pa, 3pa, mpa, 6 mp.

- v7: 3 chs, 5 pa, manga: (4 chs al aire, 15 pa, 4 chs al aire, 5 pa). Hacer el ojal para el botón.
- v8: Hacer 6 mp, mpa, 3pa,mpa, 15 mp, mpa, 3pa, mpa, 3pa, mpa, 6 mp.
- v9: Cambiando hilo color lila 6 mp, mpa, 3pa,mpa, 3 mp, motivo 1 mas pequeño: (6 ch al aire, soltar asa, meter aguja y tomar la asa y halar, mp, hacer 4 pétalos: 2 chs, 4 pa, 2 chs, pr), 3 mp y volver hacer el otro motivo 2, 3mp, mpa, 3 pa, mpa, 6 mp.
Hat 👒.
Color yellow:

- v1: En un anillo mágico hacer 3 chs, 19 pa, pr, cerrar anillo .
- v2, v3: 3 chs, aum (2 pa ), pr.
- v4, v5: 3 chs, pa toda la vuelta, pr.
- v6: 4 chs, saltar 1 espacio, pa, 1 ch, saltar un espacio, repetir secuencia, pr.
Color lila.
- v7, v8: Insertar hilo, mp, en el espacio, hacer 5 pa, mp, 5 pa, repetir secuencia, pr.
Lilac flower.
- In a magic ring make mp, mpa, 3 pa, mpa, mp, repeat sequence, 5 petals, close ring.
Flor color lila.
- En un anillo mágico hacer mp, mpa, 3 pa, mpa, mp, repetir secuencia, 5 pétalos, cerrar anillo.
Assembly//Ensamblado:
- Sew on button.
- Insert satin ribbon at the waist. Make bow.
- Sew flower and pearl to hat.
- Coser botón.
- Insertar cinta raso en la cintura. Hacer lazo.
- Coser flor y perla al sombrero.

I am very happy to have managed to meet the challenge of knitting the dress and hat to participate in the Barbie in spring contest. This is an original design, made of yellow and lilac crochet thread, with 02 flower motifs on the bodice and 07 on the skirt. And in the hat a lilac flower in solitaire with a pearl.

Me siento muy feliz por haber logrado cumplir el reto, de tejer el vestido y sombrero para participar en el concurso de Barbie en primavera. Este diseño es original, de hilo crochet color amarillo y lila, con 02 motivos de flor en el corpiño y 07 en la falda. Y en el sombrero una flor color lila en solitario con una perla.
Thanks to the community for the invitation to the challenge, it takes place every year, and of course I was not going to miss it, as Barbie's clothes are growing. When my daughter played with her, her clothes were scarce. Now I am the one who plays and I enjoy it a lot, thanks to the community because if there is not this initiative Barbie would be in the box. So for the doll's sake we took her out of hiding and pampered her for a few days measuring the dress and then the photo shoot. For a few days she is the queen of the house and receives due attention.
Gracias a la comunidad por la invitación al reto, cada año se efectúa, y por supuesto yo no iba a faltar, ya que con esto va creciendo la vestimenta de Barbie. Cuando mi hija jugaba con ella, su ropa era escasa. Ahora soy yo la que juega y lo disfruto bastante, gracias a la comunidad porque si no hay esta iniciativa la Barbie estuviera en la caja. Entonces para bien de la muñeca la sacamos del escondite y la mimamos unos días midiendo el vestido y luego la sesión de fotos. Por unos días es la reina de la casa y recibe la debida atención.

También me sirvió esta actividad para ordenar un poco la ropa y accesorio de ella. Entre tanto desorden no conseguía el vestido blanco, pero como hubo un corte de electricidad y el internet de datos no había señal, entonces busqué más detenidamente y por fin lo encontré, por tanto, considero que ordené su closet jaja, a veces mi cuarto de arte es una locura.
