Why African dressing

Hello everyone, hope y’all are having a great time.
"Dressing" simply refers to the act of putting on clothes . It is the process of selecting and wearing clothing items for different purposes, such as for protection, modesty and lots more.

It seems hard to take a decision while choosing the dressing that I would really prefer because i love both dressing. I wear western dresses to official gathering and African dresses to both religion and traditional occasions.

One of the things apart from the food I enjoyed and love most about the African culture is the dressing, and I've love wearing this style of clothing to different occasions, from weddings to parties to religious ceremonies and the rest. I personally see this as methods to promote my culture to the world at large.

As a proud African lady, I would prefer the African dressing. Any day i put on traditional attire, I’m always excited and joyous.
There is uniqueness in the African way of dressing, the colours shows that it has different cultures and traditions and by this dressing you could identify their tribe.

One of the reasons i would prefer African dressing to western dressing because I always look good when I put them on. Yeah, my parents and my friends do adore me when i put it on for any gathering. Mostly on Fridays, I love to wear my Ankara dresses(African print) to school and most times i wear it to church service on Sunday . I feel really comfortable wearing an African dress.

Another reason is that African dresses are excellent in style and made out of creativity. These dresses never go out of style.
You could easily identify where one is from through he/she’s traditional attire but that does not happen with the western dressing. They are made simple and can be worn to any occasion or social gathering.

I love African wear because it is also a way to show my patriotism for my country. Its a a means of expressing love and loyalty to my country.
In my country(NIGERIA) we have different Africa attires depending on their tribe. We have the Igbo’s, Yoruba’s, Hausa’s, Tiv’s, Edo’s, Ibibio’s and so much more. Each of this tribe have their various unique attires.

My favorite kind of African dress is “Wrapper and lace top or blouse with a gele or head tie" worn by the Ibibio’s . I really love this tribe so much because this is the tribe i belong to and I am proud to be dressing like one of them.

If possible i would love to wear all African attires from the different tribes in Nigeria.
