LoH # 221 Genuinely Happy

I find it impeccable how someone who isn’t related to you by blood could have the ability to love you unconditionally. Blood really isn’t always thicker than water. Sometimes, the people who aren’t related to you are the ones who are supportive and loving.

Four years ago, my kindred spirit found me, and since then, life hasn’t been the same. He is my boyfriend. My confidant. My best friend. I have realized that when you find your person, you will eventually create your own bubble. In our bubble, it was only me and him and all the things that we do to make up for the time we have spent away from each other. He lived far away, and he only visits from time to time. So, when we are together, I’m the happiest.

Our go-to adventure is swimming. Though I’m not a swimmer myself, I have learned to love the activity because of him. He taught me to swim, to break free, and to dive, shaking away my fear. Most of our sea adventures weren’t documented. It’s true that when you enjoy doing something, you forget to film or record it. I guess I have always lived in the moment. May it be a short early morning dip or a night swim, our time we spent together was always gold. Sometimes we would ride on small boats in the evening to witness the scenic view of the moon and the stars.

Recently, before he went back to his hometown, we enjoyed swimming and doing some TikTok trends. I tried carrying him through my back, and it was surprisingly fun. We couldn’t stop laughing as I tried to step my foot forward carrying him. The time we spent together is magical, and it’s the only time I feel carefree and relaxed, away from the other responsibilities I have to think about my whole life. I feel like I’m healing my inner child whenever I’m with him. I’m genuinely happy.
